Love the sound it's more of a dark crash than a true ride , bell is amazing and the crashability is awesome. I'd use it more for a crashing ride with heavier music like punk or metal

Bought this from Guitar Center and couldn't be happier. The most versatile cymbal I've ever owned. A little pricey but well worth the investment. I was looking for a ride that would work well as a crash so I could go to a 2 cymbal set up. This was the only one I could find that had the strong bell and stick definition of a ride w/o too much wash but would also sound good as a crash. I've played Sabian for 11 yrs. and they delivered the goods once again.

This ride has a very dark take on a jazz ride from the late 60's,early 70's. It has a full sounding ping, complimented by a full wash over tone. It shimmers from a finger touch to a full force strike with a stick. Sabian has amazing craftmenship go into these(like most of their other cymbals), the look is easy on the eyes, but the sound is easier on the ears. Well, depending on how hard you play. If mallets are used on them, they can get considerably loud. Aside from volume, this has to be one of the most versitle ride's when it comes to style and genre. It sounds good in any musical situation.
