Schecter's C-1 SLS Elite “Evil Twin”, a dark and sinister addition to the extremely popular SLS Elite series. A 7-ply Maple/Walnut/Padauk neck-thru construction, reinforced with carbon fiber rods for stability and utilizing a spoke-wheel truss rod to facilitate easy adjustment, is mated to a swamp ash body with Ivory binding. Comfort carves in the waist and cutaway as well as an ultra-access carve at the neck joint enable you to explore all 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets across the 25.5” scale ebony fingerboard with absolute freedom, while the Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic and Modern Alnico humbuckers with individual voice controls deliver crushing power into your rig with unprecedented tonal expressiveness. Topping it all off, Schecter Locking Tuners, an Ernie Ball compensated nut, and a Hipshot bridge provide an ultra-stable platform to keep you in tune, and the striking satin black finish on the top with rusty grey sides and back will be sure to distinguish you from the pack.

Found a slightly high fret end on the 6 string just had to raise the low "e" a hair more and its fine! FYI I set the action at 1mm or 2/64th off the twelfth except the low "e"…now! Everything else was flawless fret ends, body finish, nut height just beautiful. I did find a spec of dirt or something in the clear coat on the back of the neck at the second fret area, not an issue for me! So definitely a keeper!!

  • How much gain are you using bro?!?!

Another shredtastic guitar from Schecter! This company has simply nailed bang for your buck shred guitars and this is no different. The reviewer below stated that the Fishman Modern bridge pup is muddy. Muddy? Hence my title; How much gain are you using bro!?!? Lol! These pups are tried and true heavy and crystal clear high gain pups. He also complained there was nothing on the Schecter site about how to wire the pups. Okay.... did you maybe check out the Fishman website???? My head hurts now and I have to get going. This guitar is beautiful to look at. The fit and finish is excellent. The neck is thin and slick. Frets are fat and polished. It sounds killer with the different pup options. And yes, with swathes of gain you can't tell much of a difference between the pups (Good lord!!!!). So yeah, buy this guitar, and crank your Line 6 Spider up to 11 on all the knobs, and enjoy it!!! ;)

The neck on this is a dream. It's still the first guitar I grab to practice. I was a bit disappointed in the pickups though - or should I say pickup. The neck pickup is great- its very clear even on high gain. The bridge pickup sounded muddy though. I combed the forums looking for some mention of this but was unable to find anything. I eventually purchased a classic fishman and dropped it in and it did make a difference. There isn't a lot of difference between the voicings though like you might get on the EMG 89s or the SD trembuckers. I wish Schecter would publish more info on their site like a wiring diagram. I would like to maybe try some other pickups in there. They don't even tell you which voice is which but you'll eventually figure it out. All in all, I don't regret buying it and it feels like a dream. The sound is a bit bland, but it takes pedals and gain very well so if you have the gear it will sing beautifully.

I read a lot of reviews before buying this guitar, and I watched as many videos as I could trying to decide whether or not I should purchase it. Let me tell you this guitar is pristine. I've never picked up a guitar and instantly known where every penny I paid went. But when I picked this SLS up and began to play it... perfection.
