The finest rock P/J on the market!

Not a massive VH fanboy but have always appreciated Michael Anthony's pocket playing. This MA-4 is fantastic though whether he's your favorite or not. MonsterTone p'ups sound excellent- they're hot but able to be tamed; the build quality, fit, and finish are absolutely top notch (the koa top looks every bit as great in person as in the pics); the hardware & components are simple, sturdy, & effective (so effective in fact that off the hanger in my GC, it was setup, in tune, & intonated then remained so when I put my preferred Elixirs on); neck is a thin J style, not glossy & impractical, but very quick & playable. Bass is approx 8.5lbs, perfectly balanced standing or sitting. The only P/J that comes close is the Yamaha BB734A, I just prefer the simple- always passive- electronics. I would / will pick the MA-4 over an American Performer P/J, G&L SB-2, Duff sig, Charvel, any comparable rock P/J any time. There's no "upgrade"/mod(s) necessary, it's ready for the stage or studio as soon as it's in your hands. Hat's off to MA and the fine folks doing QC for Schecter, absolute beast! I play in a local band, lots of club shows 100-250 people, play dry through a Hartke 500hd (PA support when we're not just practicing) & the sound is full, balanced, & clear even through two very high gain guitarists!
