    Excellent stand, quality construction. Use it for a 10" popcorn accessory snare. Small footprint so works better than a cymbal stand tom mount.

    The description for this snare stand needs to be updated to make it clear that it is for 12" and smaller diameter snares. I've been playing drums for over 30 years and never heard of a snare stand that only works for 12" and smaller. I ended up returning this one and paying more money than I wanted for the correct Yamaha stand. I like the Yamaha single braced hardware because it's sturdy and light. If you have a 12" diameter snare this stand would be fine-

    This is the perfect size for the Yamaha 3-Zone DTX-PAD Snare 12" It would not hold anything larger than 12 or 13 inches, but can adjust to something smaller. Very well built

    Not using this stand to hold a snare, but the console YDD 40 from Yamaha. Excellent: this stand doesn't move, doesn't squeak, and keeps the drum console in place.

    If you read the description carefully then you are definitely getting what you pay for with this stand. It has moved around my kit, first as my primary snare stand (13x7 ddrum) then as my tom stand (12x9) and finally it has become part of my practice kit, holding an evans snare pad. All Yamaha snare stands are built like tanks, and this light-weight stand is no exception. I would recommend the double-braced version for your primary snare stand if you are a heavy hitter however, since this stand is strong but not a heavy-weight stand.
