Works great now that I've figured out where to attach it.

My trumpet slid off a Church pew and landed on the mp (mouth piece), so it was stuck very very tight. But came out very easy with the mp puller. For my trumpet I set the metal blocks about 1 1/16 inch apart and used a ruler to make sure the metal blocks were the same distance apart. The 1 1/16 inch means I will not have to turn the screws very much to loosen the mouth piece. When the device is in place and you are ready to turn the screws to loosen the mp. Turn one screw 1/4 or 1/2 turn then turn the other screw the same way each time. This will keep the metal blocks in sync, and the mp will come out very easy.
A little awkward but it's simple and it works.

Does what it's supposed to do. With the separate tightening screws, it's a little hard to apply pressure evenly; however, it was remarkable how little effort it took to remove a trumpet mouthpiece. With my bare hands, it felt as if the mouthpiece had been welded to the trumpet. There was no give at all. I put this puller on, turned the screws a little, and without any risk of damage to the instrument the mouthpiece just fell out.
