I would definitely recommend getting these speakers. Especially the tops. Save your money or do a payment plan you won't regret it. I always hate when we need ore volume that most systems sound shrilling and lose their warmth. These are consistent from low to high volumes.
In true Bose style, more sound than you'd ever expect.

I've had these for almost a year now and use them for DJ'ing and live sound. The flexible array is NOT a gimmick and works very well. I used them on a J curve for an outdoor show and the dispersion was absolutely fantastic. I walked the whole area and had almost no drops in my mains, just the usual front triangle but it was smaller than any other setup I've used. These speakers put out a level of sound of other speakers twice their size. They do a pretty good job of giving you a nice honest sound and aren't too EQ'd put naturally. They are a bit harsh in the 2-3k area, but Bose is always glassy sounding. Truthfully that's only an issue with recorded music in a smaller room where the arrays don't have the room to open up. I adore these, they're very well built, they are LOUD but they give a nice clean tight sound without sounding strained. They are simple in their inputs and outputs, which I appreciate, less to break and more money into the cabinet and speakers. I love just hooking up one of the tops I. Full spectrum mode and shaking my house apart. You would be impressed at how much bass just these tops put out. The integrated top stand on the subwoofer is the COOLEST feature I've ever use, and the fact that they have a cable channel on either side means I can keep my wedding gigs very clean looking. The Bose logo never offends either. If you can afford them, get them. They're the most versatile full spectrum PA system that is half the weight and size of any other system putting out this kind of sound. Well built, unlike newer JBL units, and sounds great.

I'm a long term JBL/EV fan. Back in the early 70's, it was big and heavy was best. I'm at that age where I finally have some aches and pains that aren't going away. Bit the bullet and sold all my JBLs. At this time, I've had them for one month now. Used one stack in a very small local bar to using both stacks for an outdoor market venue. From two blocks away I was getting reports that it sounded like a big HiFi. Light weight and a great system. Plans to get another set of F1 soon.

Will these handle a 6 piece band with full drum miking
What type of music? How loud do you want/need to be? How large of an area? How much do you want to hear your drummer's foot? It's a nice system. Bose is all about fidelity.submitted2 years ago
