collapse expand iconDescription

Looking for high-end sound in a sleek, portable setup? The Bose L1 Pro8 portable PA system delivers wide coverage, deep bass and intuitive control in one lightweight design. With an articulated C-shaped line array, eight drivers and an integrated subwoofer, the L1 Pro8 delivers detailed, 180-degree sound for small venues, performers and presenters alike. Whether you're mixing live music, hosting events or DJing on the move, this PA system offers pro-level clarity in a travel-friendly format.

PA System With RaceTrack Driver for Powerful Low End

Big bass doesn't have to mean bulky gear. The L1 Pro8 features a built-in subwoofer with Bose's unique RaceTrack driver—a slim 7"x13" design that rivals the output of a traditional 12" woofer. It delivers tight, punchy low-end response while maintaining a compact footprint, saving space on stage and in your vehicle. The centered weight helps with balance during setup and teardown, making this PA system perfect for mobile use.

Built-In Mixer for Easy Audio Control

Dial in your mix fast with the onboard mixer. You get two phantom-powered combo XLR-1/4" inputs, a 1/4" aux input and Bluetooth streaming support for wireless audio. Illuminated encoders provide easy access to volume, tone and reverb settings, while optimized EQ presets enhance playback. The ToneMatch port also supports external Bose mixers for expanded setups, giving this PA system flexibility for any gig.

PA System With Wireless Control Via L1 Mix App

Adjust your sound from anywhere in the room using the free Bose L1 Mix app. Real-time sync between your phone and the PA system lets you change volume, tone and effects on the fly. You also get access to the full ToneMatch EQ library—no cables or menu-diving required. It's a simple way to walk the space, fine-tune your sound and stay in full control without leaving the floor.

Lightweight PA System Built for Mobility

At just 35 pounds, the L1 Pro8 is built to move. The system breaks down into modular pieces, and the included travel bag makes it easy to carry over your shoulder or in one hand. Setup is fast and intuitive, perfect for mobile DJs, performers and event pros who need reliability without the bulk. With its durable build and streamlined footprint, this PA system is ready for life on the go.

Pretty good, but has its limitations

I bought one of these bad boys about 3 months ago and have tried it in several different venues. The sound quality is very clear and it works wonderfully as a monitor. My only issue is that when using it as a solo or duo performer, it does not do well in loud rooms or medium size venues. I have had several instances where I have my vocal channel pumped up to 75% and it starts breaking up or getting muddy. I have needed to bring my qsc k12 to bring extra horsepower. I have only played 2 venues where this has worked well all by itself. I generally only play small to medium venues so I am slightly disappointed, however the 2 venues that it worked for, it worked very well. I will keep it because it does have it's uses, but it is definitely not the solution for all small/medium venues, especially if they are loud venues. I have consistently had bartenders or patrons tell me turn up, and I can't go any higher. When it is used for playing tracks between sets or smaller dj shows, it definitely sounds pretty good. I understand that it is made for small/med venues so that was my expectation. I have owned several array systems (Bose compact, Bose l1m1s, fender, and the yamaha Stagepass 1K) This one has better bass than the compact but doesn't seem to fill the room any better. It is not as loud as the L1M1S. Overall opinion is it is a great little system for certain venues but definitely not all. The reverb effects are not great, but the app that can remotely control it works very well and is easy to use. If I could give it 3 1/2 I would, but I'll round up because it is a nice little system and I will definitely continue to use it where I can

Turns Itself Off!

I purchased the Bose L1 Pro 8 and had nothing but problems with it. First of all, it won't stay turned on. As soon as I start playing my backing tracks through it from my laptop or phone, it shuts off within 15 - 30 seconds. I tried multiple times, all with the same results. I returned it for another unit. Got it home and the same thing happened. I called Bose technical support and they had me return it to them. The Pro 8's were on backorder, so they sent me a Pro 16 at no additional charge. I thought, great! But no, this one had the same issue. It plays for a few seconds and then shuts off. I've tried it at home and at a venue where I perform. Same results, so it is not my power source. Totally frustrated as I really wanted this to work and need a bigger system (I currently use a Bose L1 Compact for my gigs) as I have a couple of upcoming gigs at hotel ballrooms. Figured the Pro 8 or Pro 16 would be perfect. If you buy either unit, I wish you the best of luck. As for me, I will look to another brand and hopefully find something reliable.

Don't put this speaker on a hill or it will go like out of tune. Very disappointed with the quality for how much they charged me - the attachments come loose all the time. That being said when it is in place it sounds great. Just expected a lot more.

I was excited to purchase this compact system for our smaller gigs. I have used Bose towers before with success. The tower speakers crapped out after 3 gigs. I had to package it up and send it back to Bose. Bose sent it back un-repaired. They are now asking me to go through the same rigamarole of packing and sending back to be repaired. The customer service is disappointing. So much time and headache...

I use the Bose Pro 16 in my karaoke business, This is the third such system I have owned over the last 10 years. The quality is unsurpassed. I sold one to friend after using it more than 4 years and it's still crankingout great sound! I don't trust any other brands at this price point.

Can I connect a microphone, iPad and bass guitar to this unit?

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
Yes, the Bose L1 Pro8 Portable PA System With Bluetooth can accommodate a microphone, an iPad, and a bass guitar, but with some conditions and considerations: Microphone Inputs Available: The L1 Pro8 has two combo XLR-1/4" inputs on the rear panel. Use: You can plug a dynamic microphone directly into one of the combo jacks. Phantom Power: It does not provide phantom power, so if you're using a condenser microphone, you'll need an external phantom power supply. iPad You have two options: Via Bluetooth: The L1 Pro8 supports Bluetooth streaming, so you can wirelessly stream music from your iPad. Ideal for backing tracks, DJ sets, or background music. Via Aux Input: There’s a 3.5mm stereo aux input that you can use with a TRS to TRS cable from the iPad’s headphone jack (if it has one) or via a Lightning/USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. Bass Guitar Direct Connection: You can plug a bass directly into one of the combo inputs. Considerations: It works best with an active bass. For a passive bass, the input gain might be a bit low, so consider using a DI box or a preamp pedal for proper signal level and tone shaping. The L1 Pro8 is not a dedicated bass amp, so while it handles full-range sound well, it won't deliver the same low-end punch as a traditional bass rig. For low-volume gigs or background music, it’s perfectly fine.
