The Bosphorus Antique Medium-Thin Ride is 100% handmade from traditionally casted Turkish bronze. The top sides feature alternating bands of lathed and unlathed playing surfaces, while the bottom sides are lathed in the traditional manner. This dries up the attack sound somewhat and provides for an aggressive bell. It rides with slightly reduced overtones and varied playing surfaces. It's banded lathing on the top side still allows cymbal to open up with rich warm undertones. The unlathed areas offer greater stick definition.
