Breedlove

collapse expand iconDescription

The Discovery S Concert acoustic guitar is a part of Breedlove's sustainable ECO Collection and a perfect introduction to the world of music. Built with a beginner-friendly design, the Discovery Concert features a thinner neck profile with a narrow nut width and fretboard for ultra-easy play. A pinless Delta bridge makes string changing quick and easy. Carefully crafted with trademark Breedlove sound, the Concert acoustic guitar features Earth-conscious, sonically superior EcoTonewood technology with a sound like guitars costing three times the price.

The popular Concert body shape, favored by players for being well-balanced, compact and comfortable to play while offering all the qualities of a great-sounding guitar, generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always present. The Concert is well suited for both strumming and fingerstyle, as well as with vocal accompaniment.

The guitar is in excellent condition & is a real beauty. It's been years since I've played—but I'm excited to get into it again. The guitar is a wonderful motivational instrument.

Really like this. The all mahogany version was sold by the time I got to the store. This was another option they suggested at a lower clearance price. Looks great. I don't care for the light sitka look--too common. This sounds great. Quality is excellent. Don't know why they are discontinuing these--they are great. I was blown away by the sound of a guitar at a concert some years ago. At intermission I asked the player what it was and he told me Breedlove. I resolved that I would get one if I ever got another guitar--glad I did. I recently watched a rating video of all the popular guitar brands. Breedlove was right up there with Martin and Taylor. I can believe it. The quality of this is excellent, even though is is Chinese made. Glad Breedlove offers a line of entry level guitars that are high quality. Grab one if you can find one.

As my fellow reviewer stated, this guitar really does punch above its weight class in both tone and build quality. Perhaps it's the satin finish that allows it to breathe and come alive. I purchased it on clearance today and could not be more pleased with it. I will be taking it to my luthier to lower the string action and to install a pickup in it ( does not come with a built in pick up). If you are shopping for a nice sounding acoustic at a lower price point then please try this one. As I said, they are currently on clearance so when they are gone, they are truly gone!!

Bought this as my first guitar, I wanted something that wouldn't break the bank but was also would be a guitar not made from cheap high pressure laminate, something I can still play and appreciate years from now when I'm more seasoned on the guitar. This one fits exactly what I wanted.

  • Best guitar at its price point- hands down!
