Breedlove chose African mahogany for acoustic-electric guitars in its Organic Collection Wildwood Series. The mahogany construction of the Breedlove Wildwood Concert in Whiskey Burst delivers a warm, rich tone that's ideal for players looking for a balanced and rich sound.Breedlove soft cutaway design for easy access to all frets
The Breedlove Wildwood Concert acoustic-electric features a soft cutaway that opens up every fret for every lick. The unique design of Breedlove's soft cutaway balances the higher energy treble notes with the lower energy bass tones.State-of-the-art Breedlove Natural Sound electronics
The Breedlove Wildwood Concert acoustic-electric cutaway model is equipped with Breedlove's Natural Sound electronics. Natural Sound electronics feature soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, plus easy battery replacement.Thin UV finish on Breedlove's classic Concert body
Breedlove's classic Concert body size has been around for 30 years, and serves as the basis for all of Breedlove's other proprietary shapes. A thin, durable satin Whiskey Burst finish completes the Breedlove Wildwood Concert. The thin UV-finished top reduces weight and also contributes to a more complex sound with sustained overtones.Other special features of the Breedlove Wildwood Concert acoustic-electric include forward X bracing and premium Breedlove chrome tuning machines with black buttons.
About the Breedlove Organic Collection
The result of a three-year journey, the Breedlove Organic Collection brings sustainably sourced, FSC Certified, solid native and exotic tonewoods to an affordable line of acoustic-electrics for the very first time. Each wood combination is available in Breedlove's three distinctive, popular shapes—Concerto, Concert and 12-fret Concertina. The Signature Series and the Wildwood Series are also available in the new travel-size Companion shape. Breedlove Organic models feature thin UV finishes and Breedlove Natural Sound electronics. Serious instrument for less than big $
Breedlove Concert cutaway design is such a good fit for me. Have owned a Discovery model version for a while now & used as a coffee house/ home practice & campfire type g-tar. Got it set up to play well, enjoyed it, but pickup was marginal, hated control hole cut into body side. Felt it could be louder and fuller sounding w/o the thick shiny heavy poly finish std on that model & hole cut for controls. Read about the Organtic series, liked the no- clear cut ethic, felt the satin finish + torrified solid top could be the answer to my complaints w/ aspects of my BL Discovery. Tested this guitar at GC against the Discovery and felt & heard a marked difference. The Wildwood is a major step up. The sound is fuller, louder, yet more balanced & nuanced. Lovely Mohogany top tone! Whiskey Burst is beautifully executed. Satin finish so sexy. The top moves & breathes life into every phrase, note, & chord. Tuners are improved. Fret board has striking grain patterns- what a fine looking guitar! 4 stars for the things I pointed out, but for the price of entry, this is a bargain. I couldn't put it down and traded the Discovery in that day for the Wildwood. Playing in with factory strings which are OK. Will have my tech set it up soon, & wind up my preferred strings at that time. Can't wait to play it after that is done. Quality of sound, materials, design, & execution at this pricepoint. Very happy with this purchase.

Reasonable guitar but quality issues
Did a reasonable amount of research before buying this guitar. Liked the all wood specification and the organic story. Took the guitar center in Gilroy CA while to find the guitar. So as I was waiting I played all the other Breedlove's they had in stock. They sounded good. Then as I was just about to leave they found the organic Wildewood in stock. I took a quick look at bought it after a short play. A mistake!. When I got it home and started to play I thought it sounded rather muted and the strings were really not smooth like the D'addario phospho bronze XT that were on the specifications. When I took a close look they were really cheap 80:20 bronze strings of poor quality. Not d'addarios. Then I looked at the quality sheet that comes with the guitar and has lots of "tick" boxes to say what great quality control Breedlove had. All was ticked off as meeting quality standards including strings etc and interestingly also the case that apparently was with the guitar. But the guitar is not sold with a case!. So much for quality control at Breedlove. So after restringing with $20 Elixir strings it now sounds good. But I don't like being sold something that isn't up to specification. Called Breedlove and they won't answer the phone. Called guitar centre and was told that it wasn't their problem and they wouldn't even give me replacement strings. Lesson learned - I will stick to Taylor guitars which are my go to brand.

Update on two earlier posts about this product. Had this guitar for about 4 months. Over that time the neck has given problems. Despite adjustments to truss rod and bridge height the guitar developed string buzz around the 12th fret on all strings. Couldn't get it set up with reasonable action and no buzz. Checked the neck and it was distorted at the point joined the body. Not fixable. Took it back to GC and exchanged for another guitar. As mentioned before poor quality for a guitar of this price.
Quality built guitar with phenomenal sound.

I played this Breedlove whiskey burst for about an hour at Guitar Center comparing the tone with other guitars on the wall Breedloves, fenders, yamahas etc. and fell in love with the clarity and fullness of this guitar. If your in the market for this type of guitar I would check it out and compare with other models.
Apparently GC can't guarantee new even if purchased as new!

Absolutely unacceptable! Every fret was sharp, didn't include anything mentioned except the guitar, which I couldn't play unless I wanted to shred my hands. Customer service was less then helpful, other than allowing a return. Most likely used as GC can't guarantee New from a store.

Update from earlier review commenting on quality issues and especially poor strings. Must say with Elixir light strings the guitar sounds and plays very well. Really clear note definition on each string and beautiful trebles. So why initially ruin a good guitar with poor strings. Breedlove quality control actually got back to me and confirmed the strings originally on the guitar were Olympia from Korea. Specification is now D'addario XT as it says on their website and they offered to give me a replacement set. Also confirmed other specifications about the tone woods etc. So feel much better now the guitar has decent strings. Why Breedlove would use budget strings on an all solid wood guitar makes no sense to me.
