Bugera 333XL Infinium 120W Tube Guitar Amplifier Head

Description
The Bugera 333XL Infinium lets you shape crushing tube tones with its flexible 3-channel design. This 120W tube guitar amp head packs 4 EL34 power tubes that deliver arena-filling volume. The 333XL Infinium has dedicated Clean, Crunch and Lead channels, each with independent gain and EQ so you can dial in anything from sparkling cleans to face-melting distortion. Tube Life Multiplier technology lets your tubes last up to 20 times longer than normal while an analog noise gate tames noise on the high-gain Lead channel. Shape your sound further with built-in reverb plus variable impedance and power damping. Unleash your heaviest riffs and solos with the Bugera 333XL Infinium.
Craft Diverse Tones With 3 Fully Independent Channels
The 333XL Infinium gives you tonal flexibility with its 3 distinct channels, each with its own gain and EQ controls. The Clean channel delivers pristine headroom perfect for jazz, country and blues. Switch to the Crunch channel when you need some grit, ideal for rock and blues. Finally, the Lead channel takes you into the high-gain realm with brutal distortion for metal. Dial in your perfect sound on each channel thanks to independent gain, bass, mid and treble controls. Whether you need sparkling cleans, crunchy rhythm or searing leads, the 333XL Infinium puts total tonal control at your fingertips.
Built-In Tube Life Multiplier Extends Tube Life Up To 20X
The groundbreaking Tube Life Multiplier technology keeps your tubes sounding great 4x longer than normal tubes. It constantly monitors and adjusts the drive levels of the four EL34 power tubes so they wear evenly and last longer. The technology compensates for AC voltage fluctuations and aging tubes. If a tube does need replacing, the 333XL Infinium makes it easy with LEDs indicating which tube to swap out. Thanks to the auto-bias design, you simply pop in a new tube without taking the amp to a tech. With Tube Life Multiplier, you can focus on dialing in killer tones instead of worrying about tube maintenance.
Add Effects With Built-In Reverb and Noise Gate
Further shape your sound with the 333XL Infinium's built-in reverb and noise gate effects. The studio-quality reverb lets you add a touch of ambience to clean and crunch tones or make leads sound cavernous. Use the noise gate to eliminate unwanted noise and hum, especially useful for keeping the Lead channel tight and focused. The noise gate threshold is adjustable via a rear-panel control. The amp also has an effects loop to integrate your favorite external pedals. Between its built-in effects and flexible multi-channel design, the 333XL Infinium provides an all-in-one high-gain tone machine.
Versatile Performance Features
The 333XL Infinium includes pro features to optimize it for live use. Variable impedance lets you match the amp's output to your cabinet's impedance for maximum power transfer. Power damping adjusts the amp's output response to control low-frequency performance. The amp has multiple speaker outputs to handle cabinet pairing along with XLR DI outs with speaker simulation for direct recording or mixing. Take total command of your tone with the versatile 333XL Infinium.

Awesome tube amp

I have had all solid-state amps before this one (except one amp that was a hybrid, with a tube preamp and solid-state power amp), so I was apprehensive about tube amps, but I really wanted to experiment. I play mainly thrash, power metal, and death metal, so I needed a very high gain amp. I have used this one for home recording, band practice, and gigging and it has really exceeded expectations in each scenario. I do not use any pedals or effects and this amp has all the tone I could want right out of the box. The clean channel is glistening, but not too chimey, and has a pretty neutral tone that is responsive to the EQ knobs. The crunch channel has plenty of gain for anything from southern rock to brutal death metal. The lead channel has even more available gain and has a bit more of a modern high-gain amp sound (the crunch channel sounds a bit more old-school). An extra feature is the "XL" button on each channel that adds some low end without getting too muddy. The built-in reverb is pretty standard and sounds good... would have been absolutely killer if it were real spring reverb, but it is not bad at all. The built-in noise gate on the lead channel doesn't seem to do a whole lot; it does reduce some of the hum/buzz from the distortion, but if you want silence, I would recommend running a noise gate through the effects loop. All-in-all, my gripes are really minor. I am extremely happy with this amp and it has quickly become my primary for two of my bands.
One of the best amps I have every used

I like the way this amp sounds. Gives just the right amount of gain you could possibly need. If you have not tried this amount I would say try it and you would not regret it.
PLZ DISREGARD PREVIOUS REVIEW!

I wrote a review of this head b4 i really got into it & that was a mistake, i sincerely apologize! My guitarist has a trirec & that head CRUSHES utterly DESTROYS this head! At 1st in our rehearsal space it took some time but thought i got a "good" sound dialed in but over the last 4 rehearsals ive been less & less happy with the tone, ive tweaked it run my ts808 thru it & at Best sounds like a boss heavy metal pedal. I brought it home to my little sound proofed studio hoping that without sound reflection i could dial it in to a useful sound but im VERY DISAPPOINTED even for the small amount i paid for it. Ive got other quality amps so its not the end of the world but for the $ i spent i shouldve bought something i KNOW has a very good sound, like jet city custom 22 a much better investment in tone. Lead & crunch channels both sound like a cheap distortion pedal, compressed NO headroom & "twangy" fizzy idk exactly how to explain it i just know it let me down! My own fault, i knew better but the trirec i guess is the exception so i broke my own rule. Bottom line if u r on a budget buy a jet city, u may have to share an eq & give up a few other features but you will have a QUALITY sound that you WILL be happy with! THIS AMP IS FOR BEGINERS not for someone who knows, craves & appreciates quality tone.

I watched tons of vids and read plenty of reviews, good and bad on this product. I have multiple amps for different tone reasons and guitar matching. I purchased a Hughes and kettner Grandmiester Deluxe 40 last year and have learned that if reviewers say 'change the tubes' then there's a reason they say it. Same goes for this 333. The sound is very similar to my H&K but sharper. This is very modern and beefy. Even with new tubes, it's half the price of many 'high end", high gain amps. I could not be more impressed. I have it patched to an orange 4x12 with V30s and will probably use this as my main. Marshall is more chimey, H&K is more dry, Peaveys are mid scoopy, and this sounds like a H&K, Mesa hybrid. Rock tones are there but it definitely leans towards a modern metal sound. I use a Maxon overdrive for this head but that's only for personal preference. This amp needs no overdrive. I use Jackson, BC Rich, Schecter, Gibson, Ibanez, of varying price ranges and mods and currently use an Iron Label ibby S as my main. Everything sounds good (aside from one mid range which will remain nameless unless you see my other review). The reverb and "noise gate' are decent. The presence seems almost unnecessary. I really like the EQ range. Much more than on most amps I've used. There is plenty of mid range on this amp. It's tight, but not too dry for me and there's more than enough gain. Like I've said I read a lot of reviews, and watched a ton of vids. I agree with what others have said about this amp, positive, and agree that the stock tubes need to be swapped. I wish I had done that for the H&K. If I had looked at this amp first I probably would have passed on the H&k and saved a lot of money, or gotten another guitar. But this is big and the H&K is very portable. I also like the other name brands I've mentioned, but, bottom line, if you want power, metal, affordability, then this is a great option. Bugera 333xl infinium is a metal beefcake.
