British-Engineered Speaker Provides Clear and Punchy Tone
The BXD15A is equipped with a custom-designed 15" aluminum cone speaker from legendary British manufacturer Turbosound. With over 30 years of experience and multiple Queen's Awards for Innovation, Turbosound builds speakers found in major venues worldwide. The aluminum cone produces incredible attack and clarity, handling the BXD15A's immense 1,000W of power. Compared to traditional paper cones, the rigid aluminum cone offers tighter bass and superior transient response to highlight your fastest runs and funkiest grooves. Let your bass tones shine through the mix with Turbosound's highly acclaimed speaker design.
Unleash Your Low End With 1,000 Watts of Class-D Power
The BXD15A combo amp delivers a whopping 1,000W of power through its 15" speaker, giving your bass tones enormous impact and authority. This amp provides clean headroom and tight low end, even when you dig in and play hard. The efficient Class-D power amp design generates less heat than traditional amps, allowing for a more lightweight and portable enclosure. Thanks to its advanced power supply, the BXD15A maintains exceptional clarity and articulation whether you're laying down smooth grooves or tearing into thunderous solos.
MOSFET Preamp Emulates Tube Dynamics
The BXD15A's MOSFET preamp operates at high voltage like a tube preamp, providing tremendous headroom and responsiveness. The MOSFET preamp recreates the warm overdrive and dynamic playing feel of tubes. When you dig into the strings, the MOSFET preamp responds like a vintage tube preamp, adding just the right amount of pleasing grit. Its high voltage design preserves your subtle playing nuances all the way up to aggressive rock solos. The musical MOSFET preamp brings fluid tube dynamics to solid state bass amplification.
Shape Your Sound With 3-Band EQ
A flexible 3-band EQ gives you precise control over the BXD15A's tone. Boost lows to fill out the bottom end, add bite and cut to the mids or let the highs sparkle. The sweepable midrange control lets you dial in the perfect frequency to stand out in the mix. Cut midrange to sit behind the guitarists or boost mids to take the lead. The EQ provides rock-solid bass fundamentals complemented by customizable midrange presence and brilliance on top.

I bought this amp from G C because of the price and the claim of 1000 watts. I have owned 200 watt combo amps that had as much power, and there is no way this puts out 1000 watts. If you are looking for power this amp is not for you. The sound is not bad, but it is not great either. I would compare it to an old 200 watt peavey. If you are a new player doing small venues it may work for you.
Terrible Quality and Outright Lying

I bought this amp a little more than a month ago. I used it indoors for practicing and played one small bar gig with it. The amp performed flawlessly, then out of nowhere, it began clipping even at low volumes. The amp would not handle any volume on my bass above half. I tried turning the gain completely off, changing guitar cords etc. but nothing fixed it. The guys in the store told me Bugera is pretty low quality plus the claim of 1,000 watts out of a 1x15 is laughable. I would steer clear of this amp.

In retrospect, I can not believe I almost didn't buy this amp because of the price. I planned to spend over $1,000.00 to get a nice portable pro amp. I saw on You Tube, many great musicians using the Bugera. I... somewhat reluctantly... took a chance. I have never used or tried this amp brand. Was I surprised when I tried it out. Incredible tone variations, Very powerful, Intuitive. I play a Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling and an American Fender Precision. Two very different Basses for very different uses. This Amp Excels with Both Instruments. The Music Man with Active electronics and the Fender with the single coil both sound awesome. I am a New Bugera Fan.
I highly recommend this amp. Frostybass, louisiana.

I've been a bass player for fifty (50) years. I am a die hard Ampeg fan. I'm about to turn 66 this year and I have been looking for something light and compact that would handle small venues with or without hooking up to the PA. I brought it with me to a 150 to 200 seat lounge and it blew the whole band away huge sound, smooth and also growling tones and you could feel the vibrations in the stage. I cant wait to try it on an outdoor gig. I not saying goodbye Ampeg by any means but this little rig is worth every cent I paid. My only regert is that it doesn't have recessed handles on the sides but that's no drawback. It's got real stage presence.
