Bugera T50 Infinium 50W Tube Guitar Amplifier Head

Description
The Bugera T50 Infinium tube head packs iconic British rock tone into a compact, yet powerful 2-channel amp. With 50W of output through 2 EL34 power tubes, it delivers enough volume for gigging while maintaining the rich harmonic content tube amps are loved for. Switchable Class-A and Class-AB modes let you choose between vintage warmth or raw, responsive power. The T50 Infinium's preamp features 4 12AX7 tubes for dynamic range through 2 fully independent channels, each with dedicated 3-band EQ for sculpting treble, mids and bass. Unleash the T50's high-gain lead channel to summon screaming rock solos and heavy rhythms. Its clean channel excels at sparkling cleans to slightly breaking up crunch.
Shape Your Sound With the Post-Phase-Splitter Master Volume
Having a master volume after the phase inverter allows you to get power tube distortion at any volume. Crank the post-phase-splitter dual-VR master to overdrive the EL34s at lower levels, perfect for dialing in power tube saturation from subtle to extreme at home or in the studio. The T50 Infinium's massive output transformer ensures your tone comes through with increased headroom, dynamics and clarity.
INFINIUM Extends Tube Life Up to 20X Longer
The T50 Infinium is the first guitar tube amp to feature INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier technology, which can extend the lifespan of the power tubes up to 20 times longer than conventional tube amps. INFINIUM continuously monitors and modulates the current sent to each EL34 tube to evenly distribute the load. This prevents premature wear and tear while compensating for voltage drops. An LED indicator lets you know when an output tube needs replacing. Thanks to the auto-bias design, you simply pop in a fresh tube without taking it to a tech.
Switchable Class A/AB Modes Plus Built-In Reverb
A Class A/AB switch lets you choose between rich Class A sound or the raw punch of Class AB power amp operation. This level of flexibility allows you to customize the amp's response and distortion character to suit your playing needs. The studio-quality reverb adds dimension and spaciousness to the T50's tone, with a dedicated knob to dial in as much or as little reverb as desired. The Phat switch kicks in at the power amp stage, accentuating the tone character for a wider and beefier sound.

Most Value Modern Head
I bought this head because of its versatility and modern clean/overdriven tones. A great, valuable head atop my 212 Celestion V30 cab. Deep, thunderous bass in the overdrive channel. Nice digital reverb and channel-switching foot switch. 4 preamp tubes glowing ahead of the 2 EL34s give a great midrange bark and growl. I'm a big Bugera fan, each amp head having its own personality, so highly recommend these. I'd call this one my modern tone, heavy metal machine, but clean is very nice and take pedals well, not that I need 'em with these amps. Easy to dial in wonderful tones with minor tweaks. Buy one and spend the money you save on a nice speaker cabinet. Cheers.

I have a g20 that I love so I figured this would sound like it with just more power, man was I wrong. My g20 sounds smooth on the drive/gain channel but this thing sounds like a box of bees! I'm a pug straight in kind of player, no pedals, and I'm so disappointed in the sound of the t50, I'll be returning it. It may work for you if you use pedals for your drive, or you may like the fizzy fuzz that they call a lead channel. It just sounds bad to me. I listened to many youtube videos with headphones before purchasing too. And tried different guitars and cabinets, no luck.

I have bought 4 amps in the past few years. A Line 6 Spider, A Marshall 250, A Fender Bassbreaker 007, And they all sound good, just not the sound I was hoping for. I was looking for the sound of the Marshall stack my brother had back in the 70's and Nothing has come close, (not even the Marshall) But this Bugara T50 is simply amazing! A nice warm sound, with plenty of bite. Brings back the good ol days!!! I couldn't be happier with it!!

I've always had solid state amps which are nice but after turning this amp on it blew me away. The simplicity of the functions are refreshing and the warm glow of the large glass tubes looks awesome. The tone is strong, and clean channel is very clean and the crunch will rock you. This thing is a powerhouse and blows modeling amps out of the water. Plus the foot switch it comes with is heavy duty. Overall highly recommend.

What does it weigh and can you use a 2/12 cabinet ???
The is amplifier head is 26.5 pounds. You can use a 212 cabinet, in fact there is Bugera 160W 2x12 Vintage Guitar Speaker Cabinet that you can use with the T50.
