Not sure why there is even 1 negative review. The reviews that say there is latency or fluttering is completely false. I use 14 Difi sticks when I play live with my band and my 11 year old son runs our lights with an obey 70. These things are quick response and no issues. We have 7 bars with 4 fixtures each, 6 heads, geysers and 2 multi effects. We have never had an issue with programming or running live. We also use the USB charging port with a piggy back cord to ensure the power is never interrupted. All in all these are 100%. Disregard the Negative reviews.

The D-Fi does not transmit continuous DMX information to lighting fixtures like a cable does, rather it transmits pulses of DMX information. These pulses, however many per second, are not enough to capture and send intricate or fast action DMX signals. If all you need to do is change a wash color of a group of lights or adjust the dimmer level at a wedding reception, the D-Fi would work fine. Notice this is all they demonstrate on any YouTube videos of this product. The transmitting pulse or clock rate is slow enough you can see the jitter of a dimmer fade. That alone is not acceptable to me. However, if you need to strobe your lights with precisely timed on/off signals from a basic DMX controller in a DJ or Live Band situation, the D-Fi simply can't. Any DMX information, like a strobe, generated in between the clock rate of the D-Fi simply isn't transmitted. The only reason I didn't give this one star is because the set up is very easy and it would perform certain simple duties in limited situations. This is NOT a replacement of a DMX cable.

Product has severe latency/lag issues on all channels in clean RF environment. Strobes, smooth fading, software DMX controllers are useless using these. Donner performed MUCH better. Support acted like they never heard of the issue before, and blamed issues on interference.

Great Idea and works well so far. Synchs up easy with the Obey 40 D-fi.
