The CHAUVET DJ Xpress-512S is a powerful DMX interface that lets you control ShowXpress lighting control software. It’s compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. You can easily store and play back one show without a computer. This self-contained, aluminum unit controls up to two DMX universes – one full DMX universe and an additional ArtNet universe. Adding additional universes is easily achieved by connecting additional interfaces. Xpress-512S is hot-swappable and automatically re-connects within seconds. The unit also has built-in electrostatic discharge and ground loop protection circuits.

    Programming your light show on this software is not only difficult, but it's very time-consuming. If you add or remove fixtures, all your scenes and buttons no longer work as desired. It's labyrinthian, tedious, time consuming, and not adaptable or scalable.
