CIOKS DC7 power supply - introduction
Description
The profile may be low but the power ratings are certainly not – the DC7 puts out a maximum of 48W from its 9 outlets and allows the user to connect multiple high-current effects such as devices from Effectrode and Eventide without noise of any kind.
CIOKS DC7 features 7 isolated DC-outlets for effect pedals each with four selectable voltages. Each of the outlets can put out 6W which corresponds to 660mA of current at 9V. Additionally the DC7 has also a 5V USB outlet and an auxiliary 24V outlet.
The DC7 is expandable with CIOKS 4* and CIOKS 8* as well as with other compatible power supplies powered with 24V DC for even more isolated outlets and even more flexibility. Combined with the large set of CIOKS Flex cables included this is a flexible, noise-free solution for powering pedalboards with a multitude of different pedals.

Best power supply for a medium pedalboard, you can also add modules later if your pedals expand.

I'd give this power supply a 5 star rating, except that it's a bit pricey. I threw a 15% off coupon at it to help with the value part of the equation. But in terms of functionality, this power supply has just about everything one could want. First, it's slim and fits nicely under my Pedaltrain pedal board. It doesn't have an external transformer, which is a big plus in terms of space requirements. The 7 outlets are very flexible because you can switch each one between voltages (9V, 12V, 15V, 18V). Each voltage setting puts out enough milliamps to power what pedals I have now and what I might want in the future. My biggest drawing pedals are a TC Helicon VoiceLive Play and a Zoom B3. This power supply is quiet and can be expanded. Build quality is extremely solid.

I use this to power a Yamaha EAD10 & MG06. The EAD10 requires two ports, so I had to buy a splitter. Other than that, it was very easy to set up & get running.
Excellent in every way.

The Cioks DC7 is undeniably one of the best power supplies you can get for your pedalboard, if not THE best. This is my second Cioks power supply. I just upgraded from the DC5 to the DC7 and also sold off another very popular power supply from another brand. The DC7 essentially replaced both of them. It's extremely quiet, and most important to me, no transformer to cause interference with other pedals or cables. With my old power supplies, I had to watch where my effects loop cables were sitting because they'd pick up hum from the transformer. It's not an issue with the DC7. I could lay my effects loop cables right on top and not hear any noise whatsoever. The RCA plugs on the Cioks products are vastly superior to the usual Boss-style plugs on other power supplies. Never had any trouble with my old DC5 or this newer DC7. Expands easily in the future if I need to with the Cioks 4 or Cioks 8. Currently running 8 pedals on a Pedaltrain Metro 20, and I'm nowhere near even beginning to tax the power output on this unit. The DC7 is amazing in every way a pedal power source should be.
Every bit as great as I expected.

Awesome. Powers everything. No compromise. Mine was short a few cables, and Cioks customer support mailed me a bunch of extra cables and I got them in just a few days. Excellent product made and backed my an excellent company. Cioks is the only power supplies I will use. Mounts to Pedaltrains easily with their Cioks Grip mounting bracket. Absolutely brilliant all around. If you're looking for a new power supply, strongly consider this one. Worth the price.
Yeah it's perfect.
