Written for Rob Frear's trumpet ensemble at California State University Long Beach. The piece starts as 6 individual voices, eventually blending into 3 movements: Fanfare, Canon, and Presto-3 views of the trumpet that form a triangle of trumpeting within the range and technical facility of a good high school or college-level ensemble. The audio sample is from Rob Frear's new CD In the Big City, which is available through CD Baby.
