After a quick set up one of the best guitars I've ever owned.
neck too high in the pocket

Tone B+, looks C, electronics A: I had to order a full bridge shim from an online retailer, drill and install it. The neck was too high in the pocket--adjustments to eliminate buzz impossible. After shimming the bridge, it plays perfectly. now i have to get over the blue finish. I bought the guitar from guitarcenter. I reviewed this previously, but it was not posted by GC.

I use this guitar for creative processes and practice. GREAT: pick-ups and tone are REALLY good! light/balanced weight, satin finish, simplicity. NOT-SO-GREAT: truss rod nearly maxed from factory (horrible fret buzz), had to back it of 1/2 turn and let it settle for a week to resurrect the neck. Color is not my favorite (but better than the 'smoke'). I would like a pick guard because of how I play--I'll look into that. While a case is very nice and helps guarantee the guitar arrives without damage, the Chapman case latches are soo cheap. (why provide such a nice case with low gauge steel latches that bend soo easily?) One latch was bent-up out of the box.
Fantastic guitar!

I've been really disappointed lately in some of the tele's I've been playing. Seems nothing would grab my attention and not let go. I went to Guitar Center in Nashville earlier today, and saw the ML-3 Pro in the Triton color, and wound up playing it for over an hour. It really spoke to me and I was shocked at how easy I was pulling out Brent Mason licks out of it. Superb instrument, and the cost was more than reasonable! I'll be buying another in the Shadow color soon. This just became my new #1 instrument for all my gigs downtown on Lower Broadway!

I have been through 5 or six guitars that never felt "right" les Paul's always felt to fat on the kneck my SG always tilted forward due to the weight and my stats felt like it wasn't enough . This is comfortable , light weight, and tons of fun . When I recieved mine the 3 ways switch had a defect . Found out the wiring was touching each other canceling out the bridge pick up. Easy fix. Other than that I am hooked and honored to be the proud owner of a chapman
Feels great but doesn't look great

I got the guitar because I was very excited about Chapman being offered by GC but when it was delivered I was pretty bummed by the finish. The guitars pictures are beautiful with the grain and the fade, but the guitar I got was pretty much just a black guitar. There was a SMALL gray patch between pick ups and the wood grain was different, but it was a satin finish black guitar. Will I order again and try them out in the future? Definitely, but I am going to wait until the QC issues get sorted out with GC making such huge purchase orderes that the factory is slammed and not paying attention to the details.

With respect to the Chapman ML3 Pro Triton the wood grain is critical to the esthetic of the one we purchase. Considering this is not locally in stores is there anyway to look at before purchasing? If not, even if we order can we inspect it at pick and choose not to get it if it is t appealing? Thank you in advance for tour response.
Unfortunately the only way we can ship it to you is if you order it first. But you can have it sent to the store and when you go to pick it up you can open it and give it a look over. If you'r'e not happy with it you can return it right then and there.
