Submitted as part of a sweepstakes

I spent so many hours trying everything in the store. Many different weekends. I tried out the Charvelle and I knew within about 20 minutes that this was going to be my next purchase. I thought the price was on point as well. #Sweepstakes

  • Extremely cheap fret wire and output jack.

38 yrs. of playing guitar and bass, played in bands many years ago. I've only had it for 15 months and play 3 different electrics so it doesn't get a lot of use. Just play as a hobby these day. However, the frets are wearing out at an unprecedented rate. I took it to a guitar tech because the output jack went out. He said it was a bottom barrel unit and informed me how badly worn the frets were. When I told him how new it was he couldn't believe it and said Fender (owns Charvel) must be using some really cheap fret wire. On another note, since I had the bridge pickup changed after I bought it, if I sold it that's more money down the drain. I talked to Fender and they claimed since the warranty doesn't cover fret wear, tough luck. Worst buy I've ever made.

  • Do not buy.

I've been playing guitar and bass for 38 years. I've had this guitar for about 15 months and just play at home (not with bands for decades). i don't play it more than 1 hour a week as I have other electrics I play as well. I had the bridge pickup changed to a Duncan JB as the Full Shred is terrible in my opinion for hair metal, etc. On an added not, no more lifetime warranty, now just 2 years and frets are not covered and never were even when they were lifetime. When I received it there was fret sprout and it had to be taken in to fix under warranty. Also, I had a 2018 San Dimas I sold before I bought this online and the San Dimas frets had smoother edges. Anyway, last week I turned on my head and went to play. There was almost no audio output. I took it to be repaired and was told that the electronics were all good but the output jack was a $5 Chinese unit that failed as it was shoring itself out. I had it chamged to a high end unit. Now here's the big issue. My luthier said there was very excessive fret wear for a guitar that hasn't had that much play. Mostly the lower frets. He said they probably are making them at a new factory that is cutting corners and using cheap metals. As previously stated, fret wear is not covered under warranty. I AM EXTREMELY UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS. I'll probably have to pay to have all new frets installed in not too long.If I sold it I'd be kissing of the bridge pickup I had installed as I no longer have the original. I will never buy another new guitar as long as Bidenmoics exists since businesses are cutting more corners to compensate.

  • Yes! I would buy this guitar again!

Professional instruments, on professional gigs! Neck is a little flat for a vintage strat guy, but you get use to it. Pickups are hot but sweet, and my amp loves them!

This is one of the best guitars I've ever played. I'm primarily a strat guy but for me it's a struggle due to the neck thickness. This charvel is built for speed, it's smooth and spot on. I'm in love is what I'm trying to say.
