With it's 96 coverage angle, and blasting up to 15 beams of colorful light through it's 6 separate windows, the Derby X DMX LED effect light will make a difference in your venue's presentation. It has built-in automated and sound-activated programs via master/slave or DMX that will cover your floor with clusters of red, green, and blue dots. Includes blackout, static, and strobe modes. The Chauvet Derby X is a lightweight device, and thanks to it's LED technology, it uses less power.

    Must have received a bad one, first time used I was on a stage and had it about 6ft above main floor, and with all the lights out could barely see 2 colors and was pointed straight down. Very sad cause really like the showing of the pictures. However, when turned on in the house it seemed bright, and cool.

    This light is great for shows, however as with other lights I have.. the motion sensor does not work well unless right beside the speaker. So keep this in mind if you do not have a controller. You will find once plugging it in, if you tap on it the lights work great.. but clearly cannot go by that.

    I have been switching my regular light show from high power lightbulbs to LED's. I have have a few led color wash effects lights that work great, but I needed to add a little extra that would realy shine, so I purchased 2 of these lights. These things are totaly cool, better than expected. I have them linked up, and the sound activation is great. They are very bright, and they will cover a very wide dance area. They are light weight and easy to use. I would recomend these for any mobile or club use. By the way, you cant beat the price.
