  • Check your Epiphone first,,,these are not diagonal mounts.

Check your Epiphone Les Paul first,,,these are not diagonal mounts. The description does not make that clear so some of the below reviews that make is sound like these drop right into an Epiphone with out modification are misleading. Not those reviewers fault as I am sure it is true of some. The product is fine, I am sure.

  • Easy install, excellent quality!

Replaced the machine heads on my 1990 Gibson Les Paul Studio. Easy install. The tuning keys are very smooth. Very glad I made the switch - wish I would have done it years ago.

  • Tuning machines-- not machine heads

I've noticed this is a nearly universal error on the music gear sites. These are called "tuning machines". The "machine head" is--duh--the head part-- the part you grab and turn. Get it right, musical instrument retail industry.

  • Direct no hassle replacement on an Epiphone!

I had Grover gold tuning keys on my Epiphone Ultra ii Les Paul that had the "kidney bean" tuning keys , and I wanted that vintage look of the tulip type keys. I researched to make sure that I wouldn't have any issues of drilling /or ferrel diameter, and just as I read , these went right on with no problems whatsoever! Now, the Les Paul has that "vintage" look as well as retaining it's value because of no major cosmetic changes due to installation of these machine heads. As always, I can count on the folks at Guitar Center to meet my needs on accessories either online or a nice day trip to a Guitar Center! Thanks!

In a case like this we recommend having a qualified guitar tech look at the guitar to assure proper screw hole alignment and post width.

They're 3x3. You need the Gibson Explorer T 6. I'm sorry, we do not carry them
