Cordoba C5-CET Thinbody Spalted Maple Nylon-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar Gloss Natural

Description
The Cordoba C5-CET Thinbody is a stunning nylon-string acoustic guitar that offers musicians a perfect combination of rich tone, cutting-edge pickup design and show-stopping good looks. Boasting a solid Engelmann spruce top, a spalted maple back and sides, and Fishman Presys II electronics, the C5-CET produces a warm, nuanced sound ideal for any style. The Cordoba C5-CET Thinbody gives players an instrument as inspiring to the eyes as it is to the ears.
Fishman Presys II Pickups Provide Total Tonal Control
The Cordoba C5-CET Thinbody features Fishman's Presys II Blend pickup system, allowing musicians to shape their tone with masterful precision. Its volume, bass, mid and treble controls offer a wide range of sonic possibilities, from a rich, full sound perfect for classical genres to a crisp, articulate tone suited for contemporary styles. An onboard tuner and phase switch add further versatility, ensuring the C5-CET is ready to handle any musical situation with ease.
Solid Engelmann Spruce Top Provides Striking Visuals
The Cordoba C5-CET Thinbody's solid Engelmann spruce top gives the instrument a one-of-a-kind appearance sure to turn heads. Handmade in the traditional Spanish style, the C5-CET spalted maple carved headstock, hand-inlaid wood rosette, Indian rosewood binding, Savarez strings and glossy PU finish result in a guitar that truly stands out from all other entry-level options. Combined with a gloss polyurethane natural finish, the C5-CET's top resonates with organic beauty.
Thinbody Construction Delivers Enhanced Resonance
The Cordoba C5-CET Thinbody's namesake thin-body design provides improved resonance and acoustic projection. The guitar's slim, lightweight body vibrates freely, translating each note into rich, harmonious tone. A mahogany neck and Pau Ferro rosewood fingerboard offer a smooth, comfortable playing experience, while the C5-CET's 1.96" nut width provides a familiar feel for most guitarists.

It looks very aesthetically pleasing however the finish isn't that good. There are drips in the lacquer and there is a long split that was sealed under the lacquer of the guitar I received that looks like they tried to hide it or make it less visible.

Very nice looking guitar! The guitar arrived quickly and was well packaged. No noticeable defects upon arrival! I wish it was made known that purchasing the hard case (HumiCase) would extend the warranty from 3 years to Lifetime. I ordered my HumiCase 6 days after receiving my Cordoba C5-CET Spalted Maple, I am not sure if my warranty will be extended.

I wanted a smaller acoustic guitar to noodle around with on the couch, or to use as a travel guitar on camping trips and such. This guitar is 100% exactly what I was looking for. It fits inside my electric guitar gig bag. It sounds pretty good unplugged, way fuller sound and more sustain than I was expecting considering the small size. It also sounds great plugged in and is ideal for your set-up if you're running an audio interface into a PC and want that nylon string sound added to your repertoire. Obviously, you will get a louder and fuller sounding acoustic instrument with a larger guitar, but if you're looking for a much smaller travel guitar or are mostly playing plugged into an amp, this is an excellent alternative.
I would buy this product again

I am looking to buy a Cordoba C5 Cet limited edition I live in chandler az and I can not find in a Guitar Center to put my hands on?
If your local store doesn't have one, you can always order one and have it shipped to your store. Then try it out when you pick it up. If you don't like it you can return it there on the spot.
