Cordoba GK Pro Negra Demo

Description
The Cordoba GK Pro Negra is a nylon-string acoustic-electric guitar perfect for any serious guitarist. Featuring a solid European spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, this guitar produces a full yet balanced tone with clear projection. The soft cutaway and Fishman Presys Blend pickup provide easy access to higher frets and let you plug in for live performance. Constructed with a slightly thinner body, neck and nut width than a traditional Spanish guitar, the GK Pro Negra offers a familiar feel for steel-string players and low action for quick, comfortable playability.
Solid Tonewoods for Robust, Articulate Sound
The GK Pro Negra's solid European spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides provide a robust, bassy tone with articulate highs. The spruce top offers excellent note definition and projection, while the rosewood body produces full, rich lows and mids. Together, these tonewoods create a balanced sound with a wide tonal range to suit any musical style.
Fishman Pickup and Cutaway for Stage-Ready Versatility
With a Fishman Presys Blend pickup and soft cutaway, the GK Pro Negra is built for performance. The cutaway provides comfortable access to higher frets for advanced soloing techniques. The Fishman pickup lets you plug in for live shows, recording or jamming, with volume, tone and phase controls to shape your amplified tone. Whether on stage or in the studio, this acoustic-electric guitar gives you the versatility you need.
Thinner Body and Neck for Fast, Low-Action Playability
Constructed with a slightly thinner body, neck and nut width than a traditional nylon-string guitar, the GK Pro Negra offers enhanced comfort and playability. The slimmer neck and nut width provide a familiar feel for steel-string players and allow for low action and quick, nimble fretting. And the lightweight, contoured body is designed for playing ease and ergonomic support during long performances or practice sessions.
Premium Appointments and High-Quality Construction
Like all Cordoba Luthier series guitars, the GK Pro Negra is built with premium components and a Spanish heel construction. It features an ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge, high-gloss finish and Savarez Cristal Corum strings. A truss rod provides neck reinforcement and customizable relief. Beautiful hand-inlayed rosette and rosewood accents complete the look of this professional-grade instrument. And a humidified Cordoba hardshell case is included to keep your guitar protected when not in use.

Cordoba GK Pro Negra
My wife told me 1 more guitar, thats it. I knew it would be a nylon string flemenco style guitar, I've always wanted one. After much research online and in my local guitar stores, I chose the GK Pro Negra. I'm so glad I did. It's everything I wanted it to be and more. The action is low and so very easy on the fingers, hand slides down neck like butter, the acoustic preamp and mic are exceptional ( I use a Yamaha THR5A acoustic Amp and ZoomA3 for amplification which I also highly recommend checking out), and it looks absolutely beautiful. If your on the fence about this guitar, don't be. You'll be very pleased with making this beauty part of your collection.

BUYER BEWARE
I bought this for jazz & popular chord solos as well as "light" classical playing. Plays well. Sounds decent, a little thin, but fine for such a thin body. Amplified, the sound is warmer, not too thin. I appreciate the sliding balance between mic & pu. PAIN: This past week, I found a crack where the end pin goes into the body. I immediately contacted cust svc and was flatly told to contact the manufacturer (past 45 days) without so much as an apology or even a contact number. I have given GC quite a bit of money over the years and have had good experiences. I am especially pleased with a used Cervantes classical i found a year ago. But the first time i need customer service, i get the brush off. BUYER BEWARE. In the future i will be shopping elsewhere.

The sound is amazing, without the pre-amp it sounds incredible and with the pre-amp it takes it to another level.

I have played and owned a lot of guitars over the years. Cordoba as a guitar brand does a lot of things right. They provide exceptional value, bang for buck, so to speak. This guitar is not quite that, I think it is excellent guitar but it is priced little high for what it is. Out of two GK Pro negras that I have played one sounded amazing and other was just good. Both guitars had very strong mid range, decent bass and weak/ok highs. Both had excellent build. One had unfortunate wood choice (with a lot of "character")
Great Guitar If Not for the design flaw

I was so ready to buy this guitar. I couldn't find one locally, so I drove out of town about 45 miles away. They had one. I knew about the crack at the input jack, so the first thing I did was to look for the crack. There it was. This is not an isolated case. There are several reviews online about the crack at the input jack. There are several used ones for sale, stating that there is a crack at the jack. If not for that flaw in the design that causes them to crack, I would have bought it by now. Otherwise, it does sound GREAT! Not all sound the same. You have to try them out before buying. The one with the crack did not sound as good as another one I fell in love with. I'm not knocking Cordoba guitars. I'm just pointing out the flaw in this one. I own the Cordoba Fusion Natural and it sounds good. I also will be buying the Cordoba "Mini" soon.
Check your gear over before you leave the store with it.

I received the guitar a couple of weeks ago and I finally got around to looking it over and playing it just the other day. It sounds great. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I bought it new and I would expect it to be in great shape. When I looked it over the other day I noticed that at the very bottom of the guitar where the top and sides come together it had a flaw in it, it was cracked and very noticeable when you ran your finger over that area. You can also see the crack. It was not a deal breaker for me, but I would have expected that the guitar would not have been sold in this condition as new. Other than that, I'm sure I'll enjoy the guitar. Looking forward to playing Flamenco on it when I get more proficient at it on my GK Studio which comes with a nail guard.

A nice-looking, easy playing instrument with good action and nice bright sound with vibrant bass tones, too. Not a surprise, but this does not come with golpeadors so you may need to have a luthier add them. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite guitars to play because it's very playable, it looks great, feels great and sounds great. A nice instrument for the money - a good value.
