Córdoba Mini ll FMH Flamed Mahogany Demo

Cordoba

collapse expand iconDescription

The Cordoba Mini II FMH is a scaled-down classical guitar with the resonant tone and playability of a full-size instrument. Featuring a flamed mahogany top, back and sides, the Mini II FMH looks as luxurious as it sounds. Its slightly larger body and standard 580 mm scale length provide a familiar feel for guitarists and allow for standard tuning. The result is a warm, mellow tone that belies its compact size.

Flamed Mahogany Construction Delivers Visual Drama and Sonic Depth

The Mini II FMH's flamed mahogany top, back and sides give it an exotic look while contributing to its full, balanced tone. Flamed mahogany is a dense, resonant tonewood that produces notes with richness, warmth and sustain. Its striking grain pattern makes a bold visual statement that guitarists will love showing off.

Standard Scale Length and Tuning Provide a Familiar Feel

While more compact than a traditional classical guitar, the Mini II FMH has a scale length of 580 mm, allowing for standard tuning and a familiar feel for most guitarists. Its shorter scale length also makes it ideal for smaller players or those on the go. Standard tuning and a conventional neck profile mean guitarists can pick up and play the Mini II FMH without adjustment, whether practicing at home or performing for others.

Lightweight and Resonant, Built for Travel and Performance

Weighing just 2.62 kg, the Mini II FMH goes anywhere life takes you. Its compact body size makes it a perfect on-the-go companion for camping trips, vacations and weekend getaways. An included gig bag provides stylish and secure transport and when it's time to play for others, the Mini II FMH projects with enough volume and tonal richness for intimate live performances.

Premium Components and Construction

The Mini II FMH features premium components like a composite nut and bridge, nickel tuners with black buttons and ABS binding. A satin polyurethane finish protects the flamed mahogany while allowing it to resonate freely. Quality craftsmanship and a solid build make the Mini II FMH a guitar that will provide years of playing enjoyment.

Good for beginner / intermediate practice

(From a very very new beginner-level player) Bought this guitar because I thought it would be good for a beginner and easier to practice on than my other guitar and produce a softer more classical sound. Everything I read online said the nylon strings would be easier than the steel strings on my regular acoustic but for me they're actually much more difficult and painful on my fingers. My beginner-level mistakes are highlighted instead of blending in like with my other guitar. That being said I'm keeping it for precisely that reason - it forces you to play chords correctly and improve your own your own overall technique. With more practice I think this will become my go-to guitar / sound.

Great Guitar, No Case!

If you don't plan on leaving the house with this guitar, fine, it'll work. Sounds balanced, easy to play. But if you're keeping at home... why not get a full size Cordoba? C5? But fine, good for beginners, young kids, or people who don't want stress on their hands. Little string tension. But if you intend to use as travel guitar, you're out of luck. There's no case and the size is unique. GC had no case available. So, I had no choice but return it. This is a bad call by Cordoba. I love Cordoba. Own four of their guitars. Love. Them. But without a case, deal breaker. Strange for two reasons: 1) Their website pushes the travel concept of the guitar, but without case = no go. Quoting from their website: "After many years of success with the original Mini, we are excited to introduce a fresh new take on the travel-size nylon string guitar: The Mini II!" Notice: "travel-size," 2) The original Mini had cases. Great guitars. Very underrated. But those were tuned to A, so not good for jamming with friends. But still, great sound, easy to pay, and affordable. Cordoba, get your act together and get a case for the guitar and I'll buy in a second.

Wasn't planning on buying anything, just walked inside the room checking out the Martins and came across the a small flame top looking guitar, so really it was the flame top that drew me. Picked it up, tuned it by ear and fell for it and bought and set it up half step.

Bought this for my daughter, The frets were sharp and stuck out both sides of the neck. Guitar is unplayable, I returned it as soon as I received it. This reflects poorly on Cordoba craftsmanship and quality assurance. Will probably never buy a Cordoba again

I was looking for a small guitar for my daughter & bought the Mini II FMH Guitar. I enjoyed playing it so much that I'm going to keep it for myself! Initially the trebles sounded uke like. After changing the treble strings to Savarez Alliance carbon strings the tone was much improved. My only complaint is the sharp unfinished fret ends that scrape my fingers when sliding down the neck.

I'll be using this guitar to take with me when I travel. I am very pleased with the tone and playability of this. This guitar exceeded my expectations and it is so fun to play. I can't put it down!

The factory set up stinks...the action is ridiculously high! It's the bridge saddle...it needs reduced in the height significantly - something I'll have to do if I decide to keep it, but I may just get rid of it if I decide it's not worth the time.
