Córdoba Mini ll MH Mahogany Demo

Cordoba

collapse expand iconDescription

Cordoba's Mini II MH is a pint-sized nylon-string acoustic with full-size sound. Despite its small profile, the Mini II MH has a deeper body depth which creates a well-rounded tone that rivals a full-size classical guitar. Built with all-mahogany woods, the Mini II MH's unique voice is mellow, soft and balanced. While compact enough for travel and smaller hands, the Mini II MH features an extended 580 mm (22-7/8") scale length so it tunes perfectly to standard E. The Mini II MH is an ideal companion for musical adventures of all kinds.

Small Body, Big Tone

The Mini II MH proves that size isn't everything when it comes to great acoustic tone. Its all-mahogany construction produces a warm, balanced sound with clear highs, rich mids and ample low end. Despite its petite dimensions, the Mini II MH's tone rivals that of a full-size nylon-string guitar thanks to its deeper body depth and fan bracing.

Comfortable Playability

While the Mini II MH's small size makes it ideal for travel, its extended 580 mm (22-7/8") scale length provides comfortable playability for most hand sizes. The shorter scale is perfect for younger players, smaller hands or guitarists transitioning from steel-string acoustic or electric guitars. A slim C-shaped neck and flat fingerboard make the Mini II MH easy to play.

Roadworthy and Ready to Go

The Mini II MH was designed with portability in mind. Its compact body slips easily into a gig bag or backpack, and stows conveniently in small spaces like airplane overhead bins. Despite its small size, the Mini II MH is a legit musical instrument built to the same high standards of quality as Cordoba's full-size guitars. It's a perfect travel companion for practice, performance or play.

Premium Components

Like all Cordoba guitars, the Mini II MH features premium components including a solid mahogany top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck and rosewood bridge. High-quality tuners keep the Mini II MH in tune through temperature and humidity changes. Pearl dot inlays grace a composite fingerboard and a satin finish protects the tonewoods while allowing them to resonate freely.

Perfect for what it is.

This is not a professional quality guitar for the stage. I gave it 5 stars because it is perfect for what it is. I bought it last year at Guitar Center in Fairview Heights, Illinois. After working over 40 years with my hands, and now getting older, I was struggling with a standard acoustic. This guitar is easy on my hands and sounds nice. I can play for an hour with no discomfort. I'm enjoying playing again and making less mistakes because I'm not fighting the guitar. This model has impressed me so much that I am now considering trading in my remaining full size acoustic on a Mini II with a solid top. This is much better than tuning down and putting a capo on a standard guitar. Doing that hurts the sound because the top is braced for higher tension and also you run out of frets sooner when you run into the body. This Cordoba gives you 14 frets clear and nice tone with the lower tension. There are strap buttons and I found it really helps to use a strap to hold it up. The body is small, so resting it on your leg makes the neck low.

Maybe okay for a child, but not for anyone else

I am adult with small hands and need a moderately high quality instrument to use for the long haul. This small guitar does not fill that bill.

My six year old is using us for beginning Suzuki lessons and his teacher loves the guitar. It always has a beautiful sound and it's pretty comfortable for him to play, though it looks a little big for him to me. His teacher says it should last him a good long while. I also use it to practice his Suzuki songs and it feels comfortable to me as well.

  • I hate how much I love this guitar.

I have a lot of instruments in my house and I hate to say this is one of the most used and probably the least expensive one I have. It is easy to play and carry around and at the price point I don't mind taking it up on the roof for a night of star gazing... even if I dropped it once...
