There's nothing about this guitar that would cause problems for new players. Nicely made, very comfortable and rewards good fingering with good tone. The nut causes some of the strings to catch during tuning, Possibly from the 'High Tension' (fatter) strings? I ended up putting graphite in the grooves and things improved. The tuners are fine. We're becoming good friends after 6 weeks, I like it!

I use my C1M to practice the weeks lessons assigned by my instructor. The nut width is wide enough that muting strings is minimized .

No. Classical guitars typically do not have truss rods due to lower string tension

Although advertised by Cordoba as a classical guitar, with the narrow nut width of 1.65 mm this guitar is actually more of a hybrid, correct?

Not really. The nut size doesn't make it any type of hybrid. It's sound is pure classical.

What kind, specifically, of strings do I need to buy to use on this guitar? Of ALL the nylon packages you sell, which would be easiest to use in replacing? The smallest string already broke today!
