Cort

collapse expand iconDescription

Cort’s oldest acoustic series, the Standard Series, which now includes the AD810 OP dreadnought acoustic guitar, defines superb performance and value for the money. The Standard Series guitars are affordable, but offer good solid performance for beginners and hobbyists alike in a variety of models with different types of features for any playing situation.

Tonewoods
The Standard Series AD810 OP is built with a spruce top and a mahogany body. Spruce provides an ideal balance between strength and flexibility, hence its overwhelming popularity as the wood of choice for tops of acoustic guitars. Spruce’s versatile sonic character makes it ideal for a variety of musical genres and playing styles. Bright, yet natural, with a strong and warm midrange, the beloved mahogany wood has been a standard for back and sides on premium acoustics for many decades.

Other Features
Strongly joined with meticulous workmanship by experienced craftsmen, the Standard Series AD810 OP's dovetail joint transfers the body’s vibration and resonance to the neck with no loss of energy and with plenty of detail. The high-quality coating on the AD810 OP's strings resists humidity, dirt and sweat for long string life and improved playability, and have been specially outfitted on this model.

Cort gave the Standard AD810 OP an exclusive scooped surface bridge to enhance sustain with greater string angle from the saddle to the body while reducing tension on the strings across the neck were less finger fatigue and improved playability. And finally, its open-pore finish enhances the resonance of the woods and also reduces the weight of the guitar for improved playability.

Got $60 bucks off ordering it online. Free shipping 3-5 days, got it in 4 days. Can't believe what I got for the price. Doesn't even need to be set up. Neck is already perfectly adjusted. Nice bright light strings. Excellent tone and sustain. Nice tuning keys. I'm really impressed. Pulled it out of the box, put my Snark to work and Wallah, sweet music to me ears. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GUITAR. WILL NOT FIND ANY OTHER GUIYAR IN THIS PRICE RANGE WITH THIS QUALITY. Been playing 40 years so I ought to know. Kevin W.

Well I have been a guitarist for 51 years and I am 61 and I have always heard Cort makes some of the best quality guitars at every price range! It is all so true folks! I have bought 3 other acoustic guitars in the past month as well! I bought this Cort dreadnought at the Lansing Michigan guitar center a few days ago! I I was going to buy a more expensive acoustic so I thought but after playing the Cost AD 810 OP to my surprise I fell in love with this guitar after a few minutes of playing! I play classical, folk ragtime rock and blues and everything sounded so good! This guitar to me is superb for the money in terms of sound, fit, finish and sound quality! And sounds as if it has a solid spruce top even though it is a spruce laminate! Wow a stunning beauty for the price as well! You can tell Cort is so picky about their quality control and overall quality! What a bargain for real! Sincerely, Dr. Russell Rintelmann

This is a very inexpensive guitar but is actually pretty nice. Since I don't play with or for others I wanted something basic and inexpensive to jam on. I searched online and found many decent reviews from all around the world. My guitar also seems to be well-built with a high degree of precision - the action is very low and easy to finger - especially when tuned down half a note the way I like it. Everything fits and works well. I've only had it a few days but it stays in tune and is everything I hoped it would be for a very low price.
