    While I have four clasical guitars and I play with my fingers most of the time, I also have a 6 string and a 12 string both with steel strings. Since they have a decidedly different sound I like to paly them as well. As I age I find that my fingernails wear down to a nub in a hurry. The thumb picks are more convient for me than a regular pick. I also like the old time look.
