Truly Disappointing Durability/Design Flaw

Switched my A/E nylon guitar over to these ball-end strings a few months back. For context, I'm a light, finger-exclusive pickless player who almost never breaks strings in the normal course of play. I generally use D'Addario strings on my guitars and have been pleased to this point with their overall performance, feel and durability. This nylon is a secondary guitar I use for occasional songwriting, recording or a change of pace, but has probably been played no more than 10x since first changing the strings. Twice now, the high-E has spontaneously burst while sitting unplayed in its wall hanger. While frustrating, I treated the first as a fluke and put on a new string from my backup pack. This lasted two sessions, then spontaneously burst again yesterday, days after being played. I'm no engineer, but it appears to me that the design of the nylon ball end itself is an unfused sheath, and over time, the neck tension can pull the string straight through. Whatever the mechanism, I'm twice bitten, and can't possibly trust these a third time. I will never buy these strings again, and discourage you from buying them in the strongest possible terms.
Warm, Articulate and Emotive

I see that there are no reviews for these strings because, I assume, many are dismissing them due to the "Ball Ends". Do not let that fool you. I have tried quite a few, and find these strings to be really what I would call "player's strings". I say that, because as a player, the warm sound that these strings produce make one feel comfortable with the full, even, and balanced tone. They articulate well, with the full thought of expression being produced. Emotive, because with such fluidity that they produce that warm articulation that the player finds the emotional content of the notes being delivered as intended. I know that this is kind of a weird way to write about strings, but this has been my experience and my playing and content is better for it. I highly recommend these. If the ball ends throw you, cut them off and tie. A great product and for the record, I personally use them on a Spruce topped Classical, but I have ordered more to have as replacements and also plan to try them on my Spruce topped Dreadnought. THAT could be possibly very cool...
