Are these available for bass guitar?
I need to preface this by saying first that I'm primarily a bass guitar player, and that I bought my baritone uke as something to travel around with since it's very portable in comparison. I did have some experience with ukuleles in the past, which is partially what sparked my interest in getting one. Granted I'm certainly not the kind of ukulele player in a traditional sense. I bring most of my sensibilities from the standpoint of being both a bass player as well as a guitar player, and play as such. I should also add that D'Addario isn't one of the typical brands that I reach for when I buy bass strings. That usually goes to either GHS, DR, or Kalium. The strings that originally came in my uke were good. Nothing that I would call exceptional, but they played and sounded well enough. The trick is that I wanted a stiffer string, so I started my search, and ended up with the Titaniums. What I got surpassed all expectations. These strings feel good and have great tension and stiffness. A very welcome added perk is that these work VERY well with alternate and drop tuning. Currently, I have it tuned to BEAD, a common tuning for 4-string bass players in some metal genres, and while a touch wobbly, they sound great! These even hold up decently good for double tapping and to a lesser extent, hitting harmonics. Tonally, the Titaniums have a very sweet, clear tone with great projection, and are almost bell-like. These strings have far surpassed my expectations and even my hopes.

Muted and Dull
Well I've had these strings on my baritone uke for a couple of weeks now and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. They don't really ring out with any sort of sustain. They sound kind of muted and flat, particularly the B and E strings. When you put a capo on, just forget about it, the volume of the instrument is cut by half... quiet, dead and flat. I bought my uke used so I'm not sure what strings were on it previously (not factory), but even as worn as they got they still rang out louder and brighter than these.
