    Best of Both Worlds!

    I don't know about anyone else, but it has always seemed to me that 9s were too thin-sounding to be of any real use, but 10s were too difficult to bend. The answer is these 9.5s. They actually bend better than 9s because they offer a little resistance, plus they sound great strummed open. Nice, big, round tone without killing my wrist or fingers. And they stay in tune better than 10s, too. I will continue to buy these as long as they make them.

      Bought new Tele that came with 9s fitted. I'm used to playing 10-52 but didn't want those on it so experimented with these 9.5s and I'm really happy with them. That tiny up in gauge really made a difference. These are now on all but one of my guitars.

      I hate the 17 G in a 10-46 set. It's always too stiff. Going down to a 16 makes all the difference.

      I tried and very much liked these strings. I'd used both 9 and 10 gauge sets before and they were fine, but the 9.5 gauge set was just right for me. D'Addario offers a broad selection of string gauges which enables players to get exactly what feels and sounds best.
