A quality engineered straight 1/4" plug with the Planet Wave Circuit Breaker silent switching feature for use with their Cable Station Series of products.

The Planet Waves Cable Station allows musicians to make their own custom-length instrument or RCA cables without the mess and hassle of soldering. Simply push the plugs firmly onto their cables and tighten a screw on the side of the plugs. The cable is marked every foot for precise measuring, and with a variety of plug styles, the options are limitless: effects racks, PA systems, guitar pedal boards, DJ cases, studio applications, home theater, you name it. Mix and match instrument and RCA in-line and right-angle plugs at custom lengths for your specific use.

    I had to return these because I was under the impression it said it was a switch it would turn off the unit but it's only a Momentary switch as long as you hold it, it cuts the signal.

    These cords used to have a single switch which the first time you pushed it get turned off the next time it turned on I have used them for years in the studio for recording and changing instruments teaching my students and in live performance the last cord I purchased recently from planet waves did not have the same option it had a momentary switch that you had to hold in while unplugging and plugging very very inconvenient and not a good idea I think the old way was better

    Playing live, I often switch from bass to guitar and don't want to blow up the PA - or wait for eye-contact w/ the person at the board (find the right mute button). These plugs should be Mandatory at open mic night. works Works well w/ other recent GC orders - Epiphone DR212 (Item #: 100291504) w/ Ernie Ball stereo endpin jack (Item #: 585828000000000)

    Would you like to know what Planet Waves Cable Station Straight 1/4" Circuit Breaker Plugs sound like: NOTHING. And isn't that the point. Now I can switch from my Les Paul and Marshall to my Gibson WM45 and Crate with no hum... no hassle. Get some. Peace. BTW - the solderless cable system rocks too!
