DOD Gunslinger Reissue with Charlie O’Neal

Description
The Gunslinger's Mosfet circuit clips at a gradual, steady rate when overdriven, offering clipping properties and harmonics similar to those from preamp tubes in a guitar amp. The Gunslinger is designed to react to the dynamics of your playing. The distortion will œclean up when you play softly and become more aggressive when you dig in and attack your strings.
The Gunslinger offers independent Gain, Level, Low (Tone) and High (Tone) controls. Its true-bypass circuitry allows your guitar tone to remain pristine even when the Gunslinger is off and its modern 9V DC power supply input and compact size make it pedalboard friendly.

I have it sounding like OD1 of my DSL40RC. I run it at 18V. It has a couple db boost with the level about 2/3 up, gain about 50%, bass at 3/4 and high 1/4. More gain yields germanium-like sounds. I like it. I bought 2. It's replacing an old RT66 pedal that was special, and it works with the rest of my stuff.

Don't let the price fool you. This pedal rocks. You can dial a wide range of sounds from simple overdrives all the way to in you face distortion. I tried it against some of my pedals on the $200 range and to my surprise it sounds really good. Thinking about getting a second one for back up.
