Alexi Laiho Electric Guitar Strings have an ultra-thin coating with similar characteristics to Dr. Strings' Dimebag Darrell High Voltage construction, nickel-plated, steel wound strings. They feature round core construction for increased sustain, more bottom, and easier bending.     Searched many brands, and lots of DR strings, to find set I can tune up and down to use for the many crazy tunings Mark Tremonti uses. From E flat down to Drop B flat, these strings chug & chunk as well as squeel, like in "Come To Life" and "Whiteknuckles"; but can also ring out every clean note for "Shed My Skin" or "Blackbird". Plus everything in between. Bright, clean tones. 1st set on my PRS in March '15, still sound new, got these as backup on sale.
