    I've used just about every string on the market and these strings have great tone for funk, jazz, rock, etc. The coating and/or the way they are wrapped gives warm, rich, low mids, and clarity to say the least. Excellent for recording.

    I put these on my Geddy Jazz bass, my main axe. They sound great and feel really good. I am a finger player and my hands feel great after a 4 hour gig. I was using string dressing on my last set of strings but not needed on these. They look very cool on the black and white jazz. I was concerned about an insert in the package stating that the color may wear off in the picking area of the strings. I have used these on 2 gigs and have not seen any loss of color anywhere on them. yet. I hope that does not happen because it would make them look terrible.
