DR Strings

collapse expand iconDescription

The Dimebag Darrell signature Hi-Voltage electric guitar strings stay in tune and remain bright and fresh for a long time. DR Hi-Voltages are made for string bends, whammy-bar dives, harmonic screams, and chunky riffs.

"I've been playin' the strings of strength since 1995. I like the way DR Strings feel and react, you can really get a grip on them. They're great for everything, from big ol' string bends, to huge whammy bar dives, perfect for blood curdling harmonic screams and just straight out heavy chunky riffin'. They also stay in perfect tune and remain fresh and bright for an amazingly long time" said Dimebag.

Best Strings Ever

If ypu are having problems with breaking strings and low tone - here is your solution. These strings are perfect, have a good feel, great sustain, dependability, and best tone of all. I play hard for about 5 hours everyday and these strings last me usually 4 weeks. That's about 140 hours of Pantera, Metallica and Lamb of God songs these strings live up to. Buy them now.

If you have a Floyd Rose, Do not use these.

I bought two sets of these. I love Pantera so I naturally wanted to try these strings. I put them in my Sterling S.U.B. AX4 and on the first time doing a divebomb two strings broke. I tried the second set... Sa,e thing happened.

Idk these strings are just not good at all, they are flimsy beyond belief and dont have a good heavy tone.

I bought these a while back and let me say, holy moly these things are absolutely beasts. I've had them on my Dime Dean from hell and Washburn slime for about a month now and the low E/D (depending on which one i use) hasn't gone dead yes. on top of that they're amazing sounding when you pull a dime squeal. although if you're gonna use the 10's tuned to E and do a dime squeal you might break the high E so you might wanna use the 9's instead. Besides that though I think that these are absolutely the best strings a metal head or and musician could buy

  • A great product

I've played all types of strings from cheap to expensive. These are the best strings out there in my opinion. There's a reason why Dime played on them. I'll never use a different string again.
