collapse expand iconDescription

LEGEND Polished flatwound bass strings provide a tone that is warm, round and full without losing punch or attack. The polished stainless steel wrap wire is smooth and comfortable under the fingers, while the round core wire provides great flexibility. LEGEND strings are a great choice for jazz, blues, R&B or any music where you want the bass to really "thump." Medium, 4 strings, 45-105.

For years I couldn't afford good quality strings and used what could afford, which were usually cheap round wounds, but the new music I'm playing has a lot of fretboard work and sliding ect....very noisy. Finally broke down and bought a 4 and 5 string set of these flat wounds.... awesome.

  • Great flats for short scale.

Put these on a Fender Rascal short scale. Perfectly compliments the Lipstick pickups for everything from thumpy P-bass like tones all the way to that nasally Jaco snarl. Smooth with a polished finish.

  • Greatest SHORT SCALE bass strings!

Bought these for my wife's bronco bass. I had file the nut a little to get the E and A string to sit in the nut better. I actually had to do a whole set up on bass. NOW it plays great. I may get a lighter gauge next time. But these are the way to go beginner or not.

  • It happened exactlyLike they said it would. Really happy.

Flat wounds are the only kind of strings I use on my basses; needed these for my short scale Hofner
