DR NEONs are super bright color coated strings that sound clear, bright and musical. Players love the bright NEON colors and their remarkable sound. Super bright in daylight and under stage lighting, DR's NEON 100% black light active and glow strongly under UV lighting. NEONs are the first coated string to make no apologies. While NEONs last as long as a coated string should (three to four times as long as uncoated strings) they sound as good, or better, than uncoated strings. These ones are red, guage .010 - .046 for electric.

    Picked up these DR neon Red strings for my Epiphone Les Paul SpII LE. Looks killer on a black guitar. I replaced the stock D'Addario strings with these. Nothing wrong with the D'Addario's, just wanted some contrast. They look great and play well. I've heard that these strings wear fast and the color fades quickly. Too soon to yet to tell.

    Since I started purchasing these strings, I have not been disappointed. They sound good and have a long wear life and keep their tone nicely. I like them because the neon effect coating adds a little more beauty to the custom guitars I build and restore.

    These strings are great. They look awesome. They have a Very nice tone and you bend the heck out them without breaking a string. I use the neons on both acoustic and electric.
