DR Strings Hi-Def NEON Red Coated Medium 5-String (45-125) Bass Guitar Strings

If you're going for looks, these are definitely the strings you wanna invest in. However, the overall tone is very flat and non-twangy sounding. At first, they sound bright and lively, but die literally after 2 weeks to a month. I, like many others, favor slapping as a technique, which may have resulted in the short life of the strings, but nevertheless, the strings went dead much too quickly (the factory strings that were on my five string previously were put on my four string July of last year and still sound great- much better than the DR Neon's). The color also stripped off in various areas of the strings which was upsetting. (Side note: they look orange under the black light, but look amazing anyways).
