DR Strings Pure Blues Guitar String Demo

Description
The PHR11 Pure Blues Strings are vintage-style strings constructed using old-school techniques to produce a tone as pure as the blues. Featuring nickel-plated steel wrap wire wound onto a round core, the PHR11 strings provide enhanced sustain, rich low end and a punchy midrange perfect for rhythm and lead playing. The DR Strings Pure Blues are a premium choice for players seeking an authentic blues tone.
Round Core Construction for Fat, Resonant Tone
The Pure Blues strings get their distinctive tone from round core construction. Round cores produce a flexible, resonant string with full lows, warm mids, and sweet highs. The round cores also enhance sustain, allowing notes to sing on endlessly. Combined with nickel-plated steel wrap wire, the round cores generate a tone reminiscent of vintage blues guitars from the 1950s and '60s.
Pure Nickel Wrap Wire for Punch and Clarity
DR Strings wraps the Pure Blues in pure nickel wire, which provides clarity and articulation. The nickel wrap enhances note definition across the frequency range while boosting presence. As a result, chords sound full and complex, while single notes cut through the mix with ease. The nickel wire also gives the strings a smooth, fast feel that facilitates expressive playing.
Heavy Gage for Thick, Meaty Tone
With gauges ranging from 11 to 50, the PHR11 Pure Blues strings have a thick, robust voice perfect for hard-hitting blues. The heavy bottom end lays down a solid rhythmic foundation, while the thick midrange helps leads and solos punch through. For guitarists seeking a bold, meaty tone, the PHR11 gauge is ideal.

The only true hand made strings.
Most string brands buy all there strings from only three factories in the U.S.A. These hand made strings have more spring and sustain from the precision and time taken to wrap the core wire. Bends are easier, notes are longer, and most important,... sound better! These strings are suitable for any style and genre of music. Great strings!!!

Disappointed
I had high hopes for these particular strings as I always hear great things about DR strings. I was severly disappointed. The high E string did not even last an hour after I restrung my guitar. I went through three packs within two hours. I am sure the other "flavors" of strings DR offers are of better quality but this particular set(s) definately left a very bad taste in my mouth.

I originally started using these strings because at the time it was used by Derek trucks and they had just discontinued the set I had been using for years. I have been satisfied with these for the better part of 16 years and will still use them for another 16

I have been playing for over 40 years. These strings sound and feel better than others. I play Jazz, Blues, Rock, and I have these on all my guitars ES 335, Custom Strat, Tele, and a Les Paul Custom. These sound great on all. Do not know how they would sound or feel playing other genres. But for the ones I enjoy playing they hit the spot.
I most definitely will buy these again
