    I mainly use my acoustic bass guitar as a practice instrument to learn new songs without having to plug into an amp. It's easy - grab and go. These DR strings have a good mix of clear highs and deep lows. If you play a 5-string acoustic bass, you have limited options. Luckily, these strings sound great and give you a little more volume with a confident, balanced tone. Sold!

    Couldn't find sets of strings for 5-string acoustic bass locally. Have luthiers carry individual strings, but nobody stocks anything big enough for the B string. "Had to" mail order. These looked like best bet. Put them on my Michael Kelly Dragonfly 5. Love the sound, both deep and bright. Not personally a big fan of playing round wound strings, but these sound good enough to make me consider changing preferences ...

    "RARE" strings indeed that fit a medium scale 5 string acoustic-(passive) electric bass guitar. They sound absolutely *fantastic*.

    "Rare" is a good word to use when describing acoustic bass strings. It seems like not enough companies put any effort into improving their quality. But these strings have got to be the best Acoustic Bass Strings I've ever used. There is a significantly noticeable difference in the way they sound compared to other products. Even if you just have a four string, I recommend using these specific strings.

    These strings have a winding length of 37 3/4"
