DR Strings

collapse expand iconDescription

Tite-Fit round-wound nickel-plated electric guitar strings from DR are designed to be great all-around strings. They are available in a wide range of gauges. Based upon a round core, the construction techniques for DR Tite-Fit electrics are venerable. However, the core wire and wrap wire in DR's are the latest, most advanced, and expensive metals available. For flexibility, for tone, for long life; for rock, blues, heavy metal, jazz. Tite-Fits are an incredible all-around string.

best strings ever

i needed some new strings and i got them because the guy at the store recommended them. as soon as i put them on, they felt good and for some reason gave my sucky peavey rage sound like a $3000 marshall stack i had played right before i got them! I use an epiphone sg and i got the greatest tone i could imagine and also the best strings

poorly made, dull- sounding string

I heard many good things about DR strings from my guitar tech and other colleagues so I decided to give them a try. In over 50 years of playing, I've never had a low E string "disintegrate" while putting it on!!! It literally unwound while no pressure was being applied to it at all! The rest of the set remained intact, but they are the only strings that I have ever used, seen or heard of that make my 1970 Gibson 335 sound bad. Very dull with no definition. Perhaps I got a bad set, but I'm not anxious to try another.

Read good reviews on DR strings. Bought two sets: TITE-FIT and Pure Blues; both 10 gauge. I put the TITE-FIT on my Ibanez semi hollowbody. They feel and sound just fine. I will try the Pure Blues - which are suppose to feel slinkier/mellower, due to their round core, on the next string change.

I've bought these for years. They are mostly the only string I use. They have never let me down.

I tried these strings a few years ago and never looked back. These are just the best playing, best sounding, longest lasting I have used in years. This is really saying something since I have been playing since the 60's.
