DW 2000 Series Single Bass Drum Pedal

Description
DW Drums, a leader in drum hardware innovation, is proud to offer the 2000 Series Single Bass Drum Pedal. Built with DW's signature rugged durability and responsive feel, the 2000 Series gives drummers an affordable pedal option to unleash their creativity. The single chain cam design provides a quick, sensitive feel underfoot so you can execute complex bass drum patterns with precision.
Stable, Non-Skid Performance
The sturdy steel base plate and adjustable spikes keep the pedal firmly planted on any surface, from carpet to hardwood floors. You'll never have to worry about the pedal slipping or shifting as you play. The dual-adjustable toe clamp also securely attaches the pedal to your bass drum so you can pound out powerful bass drum beats without fear of the pedal coming loose.
Responsive Feel
The single chain cam design translates your foot's movements into rapid, accurate bass drum strikes. The offset cam and bearing spring assembly provide a smooth, quick recovery after each stroke for sustained, fast playing. Practice your double bass drum techniques or experiment with complex rhythms—the 2000 Series pedal can keep up.
Versatile Beater
The included 101 2-way beater gives you plastic and felt playing surfaces to suit different musical applications. Use the felt side for a punchy, resonant tone or the plastic side for an aggressive, attacking sound. Change beaters on the fly to adapt your sound to each song.
Rugged Durability
Like all DW hardware, the 2000 Series pedal is built to withstand the demands of regular gigging and practice. The all-metal construction and high-quality components are designed to last through years of dependable service.

- Single-chain drive
- Two-way beater

Great Pedal!
Solid, responsive, and strong enough for the average player. This must be the best value for money. Sturdy baseplate and clamp. Will last years under normal conditions. Probably not enough for the "animals" out there, but that's why there are other pedals. Based on the basic quality, I'd assume DW made their various series at levels of weight, yet without compromsing quality or features at each price point. This is not a student/beginner pedal, but at the price you'd be forgiven for thinking so. Unless you simply need more hardware underfoot, this pedal is a perfectly balanced, fast and smooth part of your kit. Nothing to worry about. Sort of like a old Camco/Tama in feel only without the wobbles/creaks/squeaks. Highly recommend!

I probably wouldn't buy this pedal again
I was coming from a Pearl Powershifter that broke down on me and I wanted to try out a DW pedal mainly because of their name and perceived quality. I bought a DW 2000 and strangely feel like I have to work harder to play doubles on this pedal. It's not nearly as responsive as I would have liked but maybe this my fault for not getting a higher end model like the 5000 or 7000 series. Either way, I'm actively looking to trade or sell my DW 2000 for something else.

My advice is solely based on being my lack of experience with other base drum pedals. It seems to work fine for now. Maybe I would stray from this one if the opportunity comes up.
I have two for two Roland KD9 triggers.

Fits perfect on my Roland KD9 kick trigger. My DW 5000 for some reason doesn't fit as well and becomes loose.
