Easy to put on another snare.

I installed this on my Performance Series snare to try and get a little extra fine-tuning on the wires, to have the option of different tightness settings and, of course, to tackle snare buzz from - literally - a different angle. Even though it doesn't necessarily allow you to adjust the butt-end side of the snares like some butt plates, it did seem to allow for more of a range of tightening - to the extent that I'm happy with how my snares sit on the head and react now, whereas I wasn't before. Most of us have struggled with various forms of snare buzz issues and this particular purchase helped greatly in my particular case...your results may vary. Totally easy to install, good price, did what I wanted...that's 5 stars in my book!

So I bought a 3 position butt plate to improve my Gretsch Catalina Maple snare drum, and when I try to put it on I realized the butt plate did not fit, in non of my other snares. So before you buy it make sure it fits your snare drum,cause even if it was the best thing in the world you couldn't use it if it doesn't fit.
