DW DW 5000 Series Two-Leg Hi-Hat Stand

Description
The DW 5500TD Delta II Hi-Hat Cymbal Stand delivers a professional level of performance for drummers on the go. Constructed from DW's signature heavy-duty tubing and double-braced for stability, this rotating chain-driven stand withstands the rigors of touring. Its integrated memory locks, easy-swiveling legs, and locking clutch provide a secure platform for your hi-hats, while the Lateral Cymbal Seat Adjustment gives you precise control over the cymbals' contact. The patented Folding Spring-release Footboard reduces setup time, releasing spring tension for quick storage between gigs. For drummers seeking a road-tough hi-hat stand with adjustable action, the DW 5500TD.
Double-Braced Legs Provide a Stable Foundation
The double-braced, two-leg design of the DW 5500TD Delta II Hi-Hat Stand delivers optimal stability for dynamic playing styles. Built to withstand the stresses of transporting gear between shows, these braced legs and heavy-duty tubing comprise a sturdy yet portable frame for your hi-hats. The rotating action allows for quick adjustments to suit your set up, while the built-in spurs prevent slippage on uneven surfaces.
Adjust Cymbal Action With the Techlock Tension Adjustment
Achieve your desired cymbal feel with the Techlock tension adjustment on the DW 5500TD. This mechanism provides incremental changes to the cymbal's weight and responsiveness. Loosen the Techlock for loose, washy action or tighten for a faster, more sensitive response. The adjustable clutch nut also allows for quick changes to the overall height of the top cymbal relative to your footboard.
Memory Locks Retain Your Preferred Settings
Set your DW 5500TD hi-hat stand to your perfect height and action, then lock those settings in place with the built-in memory locks. These interlocking mechanisms securely retain your customized adjustments for consistent performance and handling show after show. Simply unlock the memory locks to make changes, then re-lock to save the new settings.
Folding Footboard Reduces Setup Time
Patented by DW, the folding spring-release footboard on the 5500TD Delta II Hi-Hat Stand compacts for transport while maintaining pedal tension. This unique design folds the footboard up and over, releasing pressure on the spring so you can pack up your hi-hat stand quickly after the gig. When set up again, the footboard unfolds and the spring re-engages, restoring your pedal to its usual responsive feel.

this thing is excellent in most ways, the action is great, the stand is about as sturdy as you would need, it has spikes to keep it in place that work well, the clutch holds the cymbal well and holds well to the rod. The rod stays put, it doesn't need to be re-tightened between songs or ever really. the foot board feels good against your foot. Has a good range of tension adjustment (not in steps), once you find that sweet spot it locks in place using a drum key and stays put! oh and this one came with a really nice drum key and holder. 5000 vs 9000 I prefer the 5000. and have played 5000 bass drum pedals for last 10 yrs give or take. If you actually play drums than 5000 is great if you're into photography than get the 9000 or machine cut one. The one draw back is weight when transporting I have 3 x 9000 cymbal stands, 2 x 9000 x double tom stands 1x3000 double tom with dog bones, 9000 snare and 5000 throne, This becomes a 2 person lift situation. find myself looking at 7000 series and kit with traditional floor tom legs; not to make choosing a stand even more complicated.
Love IT!!

I bought this to accompany my new 9000 series double pedals. It is the perfect match that saves you some cash. It allows you to adjust all of the important things, like pressure and height, and the two-leg design is super stable while allowing plenty of room for your pedals.
Great quality

I purchased this HH stand because of the abity to adjust the inclination level of the foot pedal to match my double bass foot pedal's inclinationn. Unfortunately, the inner rod's diameter was too large to fit through the electronic high hat peice on my Roland electronic drum kit.
Solid and smooth.
