This is everything I come to expect from DW. It has a fantastic crack on rimshots. To see this thing in person is a sight to see, a thing of beauty for sure! I love the machining.

Visiting Guitar Center for, the grand opening of the Daytona Beach, Florida store last weekend, I heard some kid banging on a DW display set. Even with an inexperienced drummer on the throne the distinctive sound of this snare drum drew me over to examine just what I was hearing. When I got a turn to sample the 6.5 x 14" snare drum I knew I had to have one. Like a fine piece of jewelry, the weight and feel of this drum speaks to it's craftsmanship. Undoubtedly the best sounding metal snare drum I have experienced in more than 30 years of performing and recording.
Can't go wrong with this DW Collectors brass snare

It arrived on Tuesday and I gigged with it at a punk rock show Tuesday night. It was essentially playable right out of the box and hardly needed any tuning. The three-way throw-off is a really handy feature. The Reno stock heads are great quality and have a nice tone. The snare is loud and crisp, and cuts through the other band instruments nicely. Visually, it is a stunning drum.

What does restock mean??
Factory Restock items come refurbished and repacked from the manufacturer, but they may still have small scratches, minor dents or other signs of cosmetic wear that don't affect the ability to play or use them. They are often guaranteed under factory warranty, but policies may vary.
