    Ok...so there are many of us out there who hate to gig with our DW 9000 series hardware. My hardware case became way too heavy to pick up and move...thats when I moved to the 6000 series hardware. Dw is know for their heavy and high quality hardware and I can honestly say I will never use any other brand. This is the way to go folks...handsdown...the quality and craftsmanship is there in this stand. I have 7 of them and I continue to buy them because they are easy to position...light and the price point is reasonable. Dw will always be spendy and this is a downfall for some...but I believe in paying for quality. The boom on this stand is shorter...like 8 inches or so... very stable I use 24" crash cymbals...and I hit them hard! Buy it...you will love it!
