DW SP-50TS Toe Stop for 5000 Series BD Pedal

The product works as advertised. It comes with a replacement bolt, nut and washer and those are useful. I used a drill with a 6" drill bit extension with a phillips head to break the screw loose and after that, installing was a breeze. I tried it right after I installed it and it effectively keeps your foot from moving into the chain.

Before getting this, my foot kept slipping up the pedal and gettin wedged between the posts. The toe stop totally solved it. Hardly miraculous but it did exactly what I needed, and given the price and ease of installation (which took 2 minutes), I give it five stars.

Glad I got this. It does the job, plain and simple. Obviously faster playing can cause the foot to run into the chain and this little item cures that problem. This should be included standard on any pedal in my opinion. The photo actually shows the back of the toe stop and the bent down tab hooks over the front of the pedal. Removing the original screw on the pedal is another story. Have fun with that one! The good news is that after talking to a rep from DW I've found that it works on 9000 series bass and hi-hat pedals thus I'm not sure why it's referred to as a 5000 series pedal toe stop. Small price to pay to correct the situation.
