The Backstage is a highly portable and yet highly stable stand that can accommodate single or double pedals, and that provides a quiet backstop with a realistic drumhead feel for you to work out on before a performance or as a matter of course in your daily practice.     Picked this up for (portable) practice and it serves its purpose. It's not very loud, is certainly portable which is exactly what i wanted it for - i have taken it to work to fiddle with while at my desk. Another plus is the adjustable height, this way you can set your batter(s) up the same as for your base drum and not have to change playing position/strike area/feel or swing of the batters for when you get back to your acoustic or electronic kick.
