Versatile Three-Band EQ Offers Precise Tone Control

The Microtubes 500 features a versatile three-band EQ with controls for bass, midrange, and treble frequencies. Sculpt your tone with the bass knob, which adjusts from -12dB to +12dB at 40Hz. The midrange control spans from 150Hz to 3kHz with a -12dB to +12dB range, allowing you to boost punchy lower mids or cut boxy frequencies. A treble control offers -12dB to +12dB of adjustment at 6kHz for dialing in crisp highs or taming overly bright tones.

Tube Overdrive Circuit Delivers Vintage Distortion

At the heart of the Microtubes 500 is an analog tube overdrive circuit that produces vintage-inspired distortion and overdrive effects. Drive and blend knobs provide control over the amount of saturation and the balance of clean and overdriven signals. From subtle grit to heavily saturated distortion, this tube overdrive has a wide range of sounds on tap. The 12AX7 tube used in the circuit helps generate rich harmonic overtones, warmth and compression.

500 Watts of Power for Any Gig

With 500 watts of power at your fingertips, the Microtubes 500 packs more than enough volume and headroom for any live performance situation. The preamp section's studio-grade components ensure your tone remains clear and articulate even at high volumes. XLR, 1/4" TRS, and 1/4" TS connections provide options for routing your signal to front-of-house mixers, power amps and more.

From its rugged aluminum chassis to its high-end components, the Microtubes 500 is built to withstand the rigors of life on the road. A much-requested new feature is the cabinet simulation which utilizes an improved version of our Cab Sim module. The module has three slots for hi-res impulse responses which are active for both the headphone output and the balanced XLR DI output. We have also added a one-knob compressor with intelligent makeup gain for level consistency, while a new ultra-quiet graphic equalizer now replaces the previous 4-band type one.
